The Dream Mile: Run. Walk. Empower.

The Dream Mile is Vibha’s premier Run/Walk fundraiser, bringing together over 5,000 participants worldwide to make a difference. What began in Atlanta in 1998 as a local initiative to support underprivileged children has now grown into a national movement, with events held in cities across the United States.

Over the last 26 years, the Dream Mile has become a favorite among runners and walkers alike. It has raised more than $3 million, transforming the lives of over 180,000 children through education, healthcare, and empowerment programs.

But the impact doesn’t stop there. Each Dream Mile also supports a local cause in the community where it takes place. Past beneficiaries have included organizations such as Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and the International Community School in Decatur.

Whether you're running to set a personal best or walking in solidarity, every step you take helps a child move closer to a better future.

The Dream Mile is for anyone who wants to walk or run a few miles to help empower the dreams of underprivileged children.

Where is it being held?

The Collection at Forsyth, 410 Peachtree Pkwy, Cumming, GA 30041.

How do I participate?

Join us in person or choose the Phantom Run to support remotely and still receive an event T-shirt. You can participate solo or team up with family, friends, or colleagues.

Registration Timings

Good news! Chip timing will now be included for all registrations eligible for awards, if registered by Tuesday, September 8.

Registrations after this date may not be guaranteed chip timing, as it will depend on availability.

Registration  Fee Structure

1K Walk $30 till 08/17| starts at 8:15AM

5K Walk $35 till 08/17| starts at 8:05AM

5K Run $40 till 08/17| starts at 8:00AM

10K Run $50 till 08/17| starts at 7:45AM

Half Marathon $75 till 08/17| starts at 7:15AM, Please note that the cutoff time for finishing Half Marathon is 3 hours and 15 minutes.

Phantom Runner $30 till 08/17

Please note that:

Kids 6 years and below are free to register

Start times may vary based on the guidance from county

Online registration closes on Saturday, September 19 at 5:00 PM.
Event-day registration will be available from 6:30 AM to 7:30 AM.

This program is for all kinds of runners. If you want to start running the 5K or advance to 10K or on to your first half-marathon, or if you are a seasoned runner looking for a good group to join - Join Vibha Striders !!

We will have different coaches and training schedule for what you are attempting - 5K/10K/HM !!

Our goal is to help you build a lasting love for running while staying active and injury-free for years to come. Throughout the program, we’ll cover essential topics including:

🏅 Half Marathon

Top 3 Male & Female finishers in the following age groups:

• Below 40
• Masters -  40–49
• Grand Masters - 50 and above
• Overall top 3 Male and Female Winners

🏅 10K Run & 5K Run

Top 2 Male & Female finishers in each age group:

• 7–10, 11–19, 20–29, 30–39, 40–49, 50–59, 60–69, 70+
• Overall Top 2 Male & Female Winners
• Masters Top 2 Male & Female Winners (ages 40+)

🚶 5K Walk

Top 2 Male & Female finishers in the following age groups:

• 40–49, 50–59, 60–69, 70+ (Note: No awards for participants under age 40)
• Masters Top 2  Male & Female Winners (ages 40+)

Awards & Timing Information

🏆 General Award Guidelines

• No double awards: Each participant is eligible for only one award.
   For example, an Overall Male Winner will not receive an additional trophy in their age category. This is to help recognize and encourage more participants.
• 5K Walk:
  • No age group awards for participants under 40
• 1K Walk:
  • No age group awards

🎖 Finisher Medals

• Awarded to Half Marathon and 10K finishers only.

🏷️ Timing & Bib Requirements

• All participants must wear the official race bib with timing chip clearly visible on the front of their shirt to be eligible for awards.

⏱ Chip Time vs. Gun Time

All awards are determined based on Gun Time.

• Gun Time: The time from the official start of the race to when you cross the finish line.
• Chip Time: The actual time it takes you to run from the start line to the finish line.

Example:
 If you're at the very front when the race starts, your chip time and gun time will be nearly the same.
 If you start a few seconds or minutes later, your chip time will be less than your gun time.
