Victory Marathon medal Virtual Race Challenge Coin Challenge

In the battle of Marathon (490 BC) an army of Athenians faced off against an army of Persians over twice their size. Through brilliant battle strategy and the valor of each Grecian soldier defending their homeland, the Persian army was driven back and defeated. The messenger and solder, Pheidippides, ran to deliver the victorious message of the battle to Athens over 25 miles away from Marathon. You too can run to deliver a message of victory and receive this victory medal!

Challenge requirements:

• Wear your most patriotic gear when completing this challenge

• Must post race pictures on social media with hashtag #pspsworkoutforacause

• Run a total of 26.2 miles (can be broken up).

Alternative options: 46,500 steps can be converted to:

• Calories burned - 1 calorie equals 10 steps (4,650 total calories burned)

• Fitness classes – a 1hr fitness class equals 5000 steps (9 total classes)

• Weight lifting - 1-pound lifted equals 1 step (ie. bench pressing 100 pounds for

10 reps equals 1000 pounds lifted and 1000 steps)

• Punches/kicks – 1 punch equals 1 step
