Help us Outrun Lupus across California!
Celebrating over 30 years of community, connection, and hope this year, we’re going virtual to launch the California Lupus Foundation. Now, lupus patients and supporters from every corner of California can help us OUTRUN LUPUS—anytime, anywhere during the month of September! You can choose to walk or run however far you want over the month of September!Proceeds from this event go towards funding our mission of Improving Lives Impacted by Lupus and allow us to continue to offer FREE Support and Education programs to lupus patients and those who love them.
Be sure to invite your friends, family and co-workers and help us OUTRUN LUPUS!! The more people that participate - the more people will learn about lupus!! Create a Team and walk or run together to raise $$ for the California Lupus Foundation!
HOW TO COMPLETE YOUR VIRTUAL RUN/WALK
- Register for the race (you can even print a customized bib!)
- Join our Facebook Group to share and celebrate with other participants. Don't forget to follow our Facebook page too!
- Run/walk at your convenience, any time, anywhere between September 01-30th, 2025
- Submit your time (optional) to see how you placed overall and receive your finisher certificate.
You can also tag the California Lupus Foundation Facebook or Instagram account and share and celebrate with other participants.
Don't Forgot! As a virtual event you can participate anywhere and log your walk/runs throughout the month of September. Let's try and Run/Walk across California and raise lupus awareness!
Join fellow runners on May 30, 2020 for the Virtual Outrun Lupus Run/Walk. It's a fantastic 5K, Virtual - Choose Your Distance featuring a flat and fast course in Anywhere.

Running
Virtual 5K - Adult
Run or Walk from where you are, even from your treadmill at home! You'll just upload your results to participate in this year's Outrun Lupus 5K remotely. Help us Outrun Lupus all year long! After the 5K, you'll be eligible for our Outrun Lupus gift, a certificate and/or a race medal! This option includes interactive features such as text messaging with us during the run - complete details on how to participate will be sent as the run/walk approaches.
Virtual 5K - Child
Kids can participate too! Just register here and they can Run or Walk from where you are as well, even from your treadmill at home! You'll just upload your results to participate in this year's Outrun Lupus 5K remotely. Help us Outrun Lupus all year long! After the 5K, you'll be eligible for our Outrun Lupus gift, a certificate and/or a race medal! This option includes interactive features such as text messaging with us during the run - complete details on how to participate will be sent as the run/walk approaches.
Virtual - Choose Your Distance
NEW this year! Because the Outrun Lupus Run/Walk is virtual and we know not everyone can get out to a full length course, we've added a "Choose Your Own Distance" event. You can set your own distance which can be as short or as long as you like, and just upload your results the same way as the 5K finishers. Though we won't be issuing medals for this event, you'll still be eligible for a certificate for finishing, our giveaways and raffles!
