About the Event
Run for watermelon, help kids in Vidor!
Join us Saturday, July 4th, 2026 to start the day right with a 5K and watermelon!
Sugartown Watermelons will be available for purchase on race day, and the 1st place male and female race finishers each win a large Sugartown Watermelon!
All proceeds from the watermelon sale benefit the Eastgate Church Bus Ministry in Vidor. This ministry reaches the children of our community by providing them with transportation to Sunday School every Sunday morning at Eastgate Church and feeds them a hot lunch every Sunday afternoon before returning them home. Every watermelon purchased will make an eternal difference in the life of a child!
Join fellow runners on July 4, 2026 for the Watermelon Run 5K. It's a fantastic 5K featuring a flat and fast course in Vidor.

Please arrive between 7:00 to 7:15am for check in! Pre-race ceremonies and warm up will begin at 7:30am!
