Get ready to run, walk, and gobble your way through the heart of Parker County!
The Weatherford Turkey Trot, hosted by the Young Business Leaders of Weatherford, is a fun, family-friendly Thanksgiving morning tradition created to bring our community together while giving back to a great local cause.
Whether you’re chasing a PR, enjoying a morning walk with friends, or bringing the kids out for their very first race, there’s a place for everyone at the Turkey Trot!
5K
The 5K course will wind through the Parker County Historic District, giving you a chance to experience some of our community’s beautiful and historic streets while getting your Thanksgiving morning miles in.
The 5K will have a 1 hour and 30 minute time limit, so there’s plenty of time to run, walk, or enjoy the course at your own pace.

Kids 1K
The Kids 1K is for our youngest Turkey Trotters, open to children ages 12 and under. The 1K will be held on York Avenue and will have a 30-minute time limit, making it a fun and relaxed way for kids to get moving and be part of race day.
Parents participating in the 5K are welcome to join their children for the Kids 1K, so the whole family can enjoy the morning together!

Give Back
This year, we are proud to support Center of Hope in Weatherford as the beneficiary of the Turkey Trot. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Center of Hope to support their work throughout Parker County.
Participants will also have the opportunity to bring an unwrapped toy for Center of Hope’s Christmas toy drive, helping bring a little extra joy to local youth during the holiday season.

5k Timed Run
Race Details This 5K will have a 1 hour 30 minute time limit, giving participants plenty of time to run, walk, or enjoy the course at their own pace. That’s an average pace of approximately 29 minutes per mile, so walkers are welcome! The course will wind through the beautiful Parker County Historic District, offering participants a unique way to experience our community while supporting a great local cause. Please remember to wear your race bib on race day. A bib is required to receive your official finisher medal. Course Map Coming Soon! 1k Kid's Fun Run
Our Kids 1K is a fun, family-friendly event designed to get our youngest participants moving. The Kids 1K is open to children ages 12 and under and will be held on York Avenue, providing a fun and welcoming course for kids to run or walk. The Kids 1K will have a 30-minute time limit, giving participants plenty of time to complete the course at their own pace. That’s an average pace of approximately 48 minutes per mile, so there’s no pressure to race. Parents participating in the 5K are welcome to join their children for the Kids 1K and cheer them on along the way. We encourage families to make it a morning together. Please remember to wear your race bib on race day. A bib is required to receive your official finisher medal. Course map coming soon!
