Wellspring's 8th Annual 5K Race for Recovery ------- Team 3-5 People

This is a walk or run 5K event that starts at the Waterfront in Downtown Bangor Maine. Funds raised support Wellspring, a 501 ( C ) 3 non-profit organization. Our mission is to provide a continuum of trauma-informed substance use and co-occurring mental health services in a compassionate and welcoming environment to support people on their journey to recovery regardless of income. Additionally, Wellspring is a MaineCare agency and the treatment provider for Penobscot County Adult Drug Court.  We believe and hold as our vision that through treatment and recovery,  people, families and communities thrive. Come join us by either walking or running the course! There will be live music before during and after the race featuring the Pinwheel Brothers, an acoustic quartet, favoring Americana genres such as bluegrass, folk-rock,. We're also working on a great lineup of prominent speakers (TBA) and we'll host an awards ceremony at the end of the race with great prizes for our winners and participants. When: Sunday September 10, 2023 Pre-registration begins at 9:00 AM and the Race kicks off at 10:AM Where: Bangor Waterfront, 1 Railroad Street, Bangor, ME 04401
