Wenzel Memorial 5K

SATURDAY, OCTOBER 3

9 a.m. (race-day registration opens at  8:00 a.m.)…. Sixth Annual Wenzel Memorial 5K
West Gym

This event, in memory of Gregg Wenzel ’91, will consist of a 5K run/walk around campus. The 5K is open to all. Wenzel was a triathlete and former student-athlete at Binghamton who competed on the men’s varsity swimming and diving team. He was killed in a car accident in July 2003 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, where he was working as a CIA director of operations. Race check-in and on-site registration will take place at the West Gym. The run/walk will start and end in front of the Gregg Wenzel Memorial statue on Bearcat Boulevard.

T shirts for participants who register on-line by 9/19/26. T shirts available on race day - first come first serve - no guarantee. . First 50 finishers receive participation medal . Timing will be kept and available on-line post race . 

 Race-day registration at the West Gym will start at 7:45 a.m. The entry fee is $10 for students and $20 for all others. Exact change only. Entrants must be 13 years or older. Students enter coupon code STUDENTWENZEL26 on payment screen . You will be asked your school name in the registration questions . 

Join fellow runners on October 14, 2023 for the Wenzel Memorial 5K. It's a fantastic 5K featuring a flat and fast course in Vestal.
