Wolf Lake 5k
About the Event
The Wolf Lake 5k takes you on a scenic tour of the William Powers Conservation Area at Wolf Lake. Your trip begins at the visitors center and takes you North through the park to the State Line where you turn around are return to the finish line.
The race is entirely within the William Powers Conservation Area this year.
In addition to our normal race awards, and in honor of those who serve and protect the community, we will have a "First Responders Challenge". Bragging rights and medals will be awarded to the three fastest Police, Fire, and EMTs.
Register early for the best pricing. Entry will be $30 through May 9th, then $35. Race day registration is $40.
Each participant will receive a Commemorative Race T-shirt and goody bag.
This race is a fundraiser for the Hegewisch Community Center a 501(c)3 organization.
Join fellow runners on May 16, 2026 for the Wolf Lake 5k. It's a fantastic 5K featuring a flat and fast course in Chicago.
