Ymca Reindeer Ramble 5K Presented by Publix®

ABOUT THIS RACE
For the 19th year, the Reindeer Ramble will provide a great community-building atmosphere that brings people together from all walks of life.  This event is a strong source of the YMCA's fundraising effort that helps to provide assistance to children and families through our financial assistance program.  Participants who register for the Reindeer Ramble should feel proud to know that their registration is helping to fund our Annual Campaign efforts that impact thousands of lives in our community!

Through the generosity of donors, our financial assistance program offers families a way to apply for assistance on a sliding fee scale that’s designed to fit each individual's financial situation. Your support makes this possible. Our services are available to everyone and proceeds from this event will help provide scholarships for children and families to attend YMCA programs and memberships. 

We encourage you to wear your favorite holiday sweater, Santa suit or “holiday festive” attire and get into the spirit of this holiday fun run/walk - GET CREATIVE! You may register as an individual runner/walker or with a group as a team. Teams of 5 or more will receive a discounted registration fee.  Teams can consist of adult and child members. We will recognize the top finishers in each category, as well as those race teams that celebrated the holiday spirit the brightest.

Packet Pickup
Friday, December 11:  9:00am-1:00pm & 4:00-6:15pm - High Street YMCA
Packets will also be available on race day starting at 8:30am at Keeneland

Shirts
Participants will receive a commemorative Reindeer Ramble shirt with registration, based on availability.  Due to inventory selection, the sooner you register, the greater chance you'll be able to get your preferred size.  If the size you need is no longer available, you'll be able to either select a different size that is in-stock or swap it out for the correct size during our packet pickup.  We will only have a few shirts in each size in our exchange inventory, so it will be first come-first serve with exchange availability.

Awards
- Top 5 Overall Males & Females
- Top 3 Males & Females in each age group
- Top 3 Overall Teams
(Team awards will be determined by calculating the fastest 5 times on each race team.  The 3 fastest team times will be the winners.)
Age Groups: 10 & under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, .30-34 ... 70-74, 75-79, 80 & over.

Race Teams
Participants may run as an individual or as a member of a team.  One member of the team shall create the team name upon registration.  Each team member that signs up after the team is created can simply click the drop down menu (when prompted) to select the team they wish to join.  Teams with at least 5 participants are eligible for a $2.50 discount (team members 1-4 will get a $2.50 refund once the 5th teammate has registered), and teams with at least 10 participants are eligible for a $5.00 discount (team members who registered before the 10th teammate will be refunded their overage to receive the $5.00 discount).  Teams with at least 5 participants are also eligible for awards.  The top 3 teams will receive an award plaque for their success!

Virtual Race Time Submission
Virtual participants may run/walk their 5K any place in the world!  Simply run the correct distance and post your time.  You will be able to submit your times from Monday, December 8 through Saturday, December 13. Virtual participants are not eligible for awards, but are still eligible to receive their race shirt during packet pickup!
