22 Strong 22-Day Challenge (Virtual Option)
This event spans 22 days to represent the average of 22 veterans who lose their lives to suicide every day. We are challenging you to walk or run each day tracking your miles, then report your miles to our website. There is TEAM option again this year! Incentives: Consistency weekly prizes and grand prize & most miles walked as a team. Extra entries for weekly drawings for sharing a "sweaty selfie" on social media (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn) AND tagging Building Change
Walking
22-Mile Walk (Long)
This "race" is on a designated course in St. Charles County. We will start and finish in the same location (Frankie Martin's Garden in Cottleville, MO). The 22 miles represent the average of 22 veterans who lose their lives to suicide every day. Walk as few or as many miles of this course as you would like. There will be rest stops with shuttles to the starting location, fuel (water, Gatorade, food!), and toilets along the course. These stops are sponsored by St. Louis Print Group. Post race: enjoy lunch on us (BBQ), bid on silent auction items, and listen to beneficiaries speak.
2.2-Mile Walk (Short)
This "race" is on a designated course in St. Charles County. We will start and finish in the same location (Frankie Martin's Garden in Cottleville, MO). The 2.2 miles represent the average of 22 veterans who lose their lives to suicide every day. Walk as few or as many miles of this course as you would like. We are family and dog friendly, however this race is self-supported. Water/refreshments will not be available along the course. Grab a bottle of water and bring it with you! Post race: enjoy lunch on us (BBQ), bid on silent auction items, and listen to beneficiaries speak.
