About the Event
Join us for the annual Market Street Mission 5K Race for Recovery on the Boardwalk (formerly known as the Jersey Shore Rescue Mission 5K Race & Family Walk)! We are excited to see you on the Boardwalk in Ocean Grove, NJ on Saturday October 24, 2026! Proceeds from the event will support the programs of the Market Street Mission, a non-profit organization providing hope and healing to those struggling with hunger, homelessness, and addiction throughout New Jersey. We encourage you to show your support for those who are striving for recovery from drug and alcohol addiction and help provide the necessary programs and resources - like free meals, overnight shelter, and a long-term residential recovery program - for those in need in the community.

A scenic and flat run along the boardwalk from Ocean Grove into Bradley Beach and back. Enjoy beautiful ocean views as you run or walk. This event includes a souvenir tech tee! Each meal provided by the Market Street Mission costs $2.82. Our early bird fee represents the cost of approximately 10 meals and care provided by the Mission to those in need in our local community! VIP 5K Package
Show your support and make an even BIGGER impact for the Mission! This VIP package includes: -5K Race registration for 1 registrant -VIP Parking CLOSE to the action! Don't worry about finding a space to park in Ocean Grove! -Skip the line registration - bibs and registration materials for everyone arriving in your car will be brought right to your parking spot! -Extra tricky tray tickets! -Tour of venue upon arrival
VIRTUAL 5K
Run (or walk) your 5K at home! This does not include attendance at our live, in-person event and is offered for those who can't join us on 10/24. Join us from anywhere in the world! This event includes a souvenir tech tee, which will be mailed to you. Each meal provided by the Market Street Mission costs $2.82. Our early bird fee represents the cost of approximately 10 meals and care provided by the Mission to those in need in our local community! Thank you for making a difference!

2 Mile Family Walk
Walk 1 Mile from our starting point in Ocean Grove to the turnaround point and back to complete 2 beautiful boardwalk miles. This event includes a souvenir tech tee! Each meal provided by the Market Street Mission costs $2.82. Our early bird fee represents the cost of approximately 10 meals and care provided by the Mission to those in need in our local community!
