About this race
Join us for the annual Market Street Mission 5K Race for Recovery on the Boardwalk (formerly known as the Jersey Shore Rescue Mission 5K Race & Family Walk)! We are excited to see you on the Boardwalk in Ocean Grove, NJ on Saturday October 24, 2026! Proceeds from the event will support the programs of the Market Street Mission, a non-profit organization providing hope and healing to those struggling with hunger, homelessness, and addiction throughout New Jersey. We encourage you to show your support for those who are striving for recovery from drug and alcohol addiction and help provide the necessary programs and resources - like free meals, overnight shelter, and a long-term residential recovery program - for those in need in the community.

LIVE 5K Race
A scenic and flat run along the boardwalk from Asbury Park through Ocean Grove into Bradley Beach and back. Enjoy beautiful ocean views as you run or walk. This event includes a souvenir tech tee! Each meal provided by the Jersey Shore Rescue Mission costs $2.82. Our fee of $28.20 represents the cost of 10 meals provided by the Mission to those in need in our local community! LIVE 2 Mile Family Walk
Walk 1 Mile from Asbury Park Convention Hall to the turnaround point in Ocean Grove and back to complete 2 beautiful boardwalk miles. This event includes a souvenir tech tee!
