Abby Furco Memorial Color Fun Run

Let's Do This Again! We are excited for our FIFTH Annual event!

Join us Sunday, October 18th for the FIFTH Annual Abby Furco Memorial Color Fun Run honoring Abby, our beloved friend who passed away too soon, along with supporting and loving ALL those affected by childhood cancer.

NEW THIS YEAR - Race BIBS - In 2026 we will provide bib numbers for all those participating and will acknowledge age group 1st, 2nd and 3rd place. 

Our color fun run/walk, is a 5k course filled with color stations throughout. You can run, walk, push a stroller...bring your entire family & friends!! Come out and celebrate life while also giving back to foundations that helped Abby, her family and other childhood cancer fighters!! 

The event is a fundraiser with all proceeds (goal being all entries and donations) to the charities St. Baldrick's Foundation, EDMARC and Abby's Legacy Foundation. All donations made here are tax-deductible. See more about our charities on our Donate Page!

The Abby Furco Memorial Color Run is fully funded by local sponsors, we are so thankful! We are once again hoping to be 100% community sponsored & so all monies collected with be going to our event charities!! Please consider sponsoring our event.

EVENT ENTRY 

-$25 per adult participant 
-$15 per 18 and under participant 

All participants will receive a white race T-shirt with logo and sunglasses to wear during the race. Sign up by midnight October 5th to guarantee your T-shirt size event day. If you register after that date, we will do our best to have your t-shirt size!

All race proceeds will benefit our Event Charities - Abby's Legacy Foundation, EDMARC and St. Baldrick's Foundation. Donations can be made at registration or also by clicking the Donate button linked above.

EVENT DETAILS

Date - Sunday, October 18, 2026

Location - Lago Mar Park at Back Bay, 801 Casa Verde Way, Virginia Beach, VA 23456. Start/Finish festival at the park with course through the Lago Mar Neighborhood. 
Event will take place rain or shine, watch the website, social media (see below) & registered participants will receive email if there is severe weather. 

PARKING - Please come towards the park area from the Nimmo Pkwy direction. There will be parking signs and people to help direct you. We will park on the “inside” of the course, along Casa Verde, Santa Fe and Valle Rio Way. If you are dropping off, please drop off on Casa Verde Way.

EVENT TIMELINE

9am - 9:40am - Runner check-in
9:45am - Start line warm-up
10am - Color fun run start

Festival music, snacks & fun to follow. 

VOLUNTEERS 

Please fill out the Volunteer Interest Form at (COMING SOON) to sign up or contact Patty at patty@abbyslegacyfoundation.org

You will be provided a race t-shirt for helping. Volunteer check-in times will be emailed out as the race gets closer, plan on anywhere from 7am to Noon. If you want to volunteer and race, please note that on the interest form. We need many, many hands - thank you!!!

Join fellow runners on October 20, 2024 for the Abby Furco Memorial Color Fun Run. It's a fantastic 5K featuring a flat and fast course in Virginia Beach.
