About this race
Experience one of Florida's premier endurance events, the AdventHealth Great Floridian Endurance Festival at the World Triathlon Destination at Waterfront Park in Clermont. Celebrating it's 36th year, the featured event is the Triple Tri Challenge where athletes complete 3 consecutive Sprint Triathlons. New for 2026 is a Triple Duathlon and Triple Aquabike option. Addition events include a standard Sprint Distance Triathlon, Sprint Aquabike, Sprint Duathlon, Sprint Aquathlon, Sprint Relay and more! Weekend activities kick off on Saturday Morning with a 15K Run and 5K Run/Walk.

Triathlon
140.6 Full Distance Ultra National Championship
The oldest Independent Ultra Distance Triathlon in North America featuring a 2.4 mile swim; 112 mile bike; and a 26.2 mile run - 140.6 miles total! The 30th Annual Great Floridian Triathlon serves as the 2010 USAT National Ultra Distance Championship.
2/3 Distance GFT
If you are looking for a challenge greater than the 70.3 distance, but are not quite ready to race the full 140.6 distance, then the 2/3 distance GFT is for you! Swim 1.6 miles; bike 78 miles; and run 17.3 miles.
1/3 Distance GFT
The 1/3 distance is a fun intermediate distance that gives participants the opportunity to race the GFT course without enduring the full 140.6 distance. Athletes will swim .8 miles; bike 42 miles; and run 8.3 miles.

9 Person Full Distance Relay
Taking advantage of the GFT's 3 lap format, we now offer a 5-9 person relay challenge. Each team must have a minimum of 5 members, with a maximum of 9 members. Team members will take turns completing the individual laps for each segment of the 140.6 mile course. Think of this event as the Ragnar Relay of triathlon! The base entry fee is based on the minimum team requirement of 5 team members. Additional team members beyond the first five are $50 each. Sprint Triathlon
Enjoy a .25 mile swim in Lake Minneola. The bike course travels clockwise around Lake Minneola with the 8 mile course. The run course is an out and back 5K course on the South Lake Trail.
Aquabike
Ultra Distance Aquabike
In the Aquabike division athletes will complete the swim and bike portions of the race. The Ultra distance Aquabike features a 2.4 mile swim and 112 mile bike. This is a great training event if you are racing another late season long course triathlon.
2/3 Distance Aquabike
In the Aquabike division athletes will complete the swim and bike portions of the race. The 2/3 distance Aquabike features a 1.6 mile swim and 78 mile bike. This is a great training event if you are racing another late season long course triathlon.
1/3 Distance Aquabike
In the Aquabike division athletes will complete the swim and bike portions of the race. The 1/3 distance Aquabike features a .8 mile swim and 42 mile bike. This is a great training event if you are racing another late season long course triathlon.
Swimming
2.4 Mile Open Water Swim
A 2.4 mile open water swim with swimmers swimming 3 laps of the .8 mile GFT swim course.
Running
Floridian Sunset 15K Run
A 15K out and back Run/Walk on the South Lake Trail.
