Main Course - Individual ADULT (18+)
The Main Course - Adult division is for participants aged 18 and up. This is a standard Super Sprint distance triathlon consisting of: * 400 meter (0.24 mile) swim (17 lengths of a 25y outdoor pool in your own split lane) * 10 km (6.2 mile) bike ride (12 loops on the streets around AHS + Memorial Park, clockwise) * 2.5 km (1.6 mile) run (3 loops on sidewalk around AHS + Memorial Park counter clockwise) Additional course details: https://albanytri.com/course-info/ Event FAQ: https://albanytri.com/faq/
Main Course - Individual YOUTH (9-17)
The Main Course - Youth division is for participants aged 9-17. RELAY TEAM - Main Course - ADULT or ADULT+YOUTH
The Main Course - Relay Adult or Adult/Youth division is for participants competing in teams of 2 or 3 people, where at least one of the members is 18+. Each person does a different leg of the race (swim, bike, run). In the case of a 2-member team, one person does any two of the legs. Registration fee is only charged for the FIRST team member. Subsequent team members can be added later without paying a fee. SHORT COURSE - Super Youth (7-10)
The Short Course - Super Youth division is for participants aged 7-10 and is a short version of the main course triathlon consisting of: * 70 meter (75 yards) swim (3 lengths of a 25y outdoor pool in your own split lane) * 2.5 km (1.6 mile) bike ride (3 loops on the streets around AHS + Memorial Park, clockwise) * 1 km (0.6 mile) run (1 loop on sidewalk around AHS + Memorial Park counter clockwise) Additional course details: https://albanytri.com/course-info/ Event FAQ: https://albanytri.com/faq/ The Super Youth event will start 30 minutes after the start of the final heat of the Main Course. The Super Youth start time has traditionally been 11AM, but could be adjusted based on the number of main course heats. Participants who are the parents/guardians of kids that are in the Super Youth race will be placed in earlier heats so that they can finish in time to watch/assist their Super Youth athletes.
