About this race
🎉 2026 will mark the 20th Anniversary of the Burning River Endurance Runs & Relay – an exciting 100M, 50M, and Marathon solo run and 100M relay in Northeast Ohio. The race travels through several of the region's most scenic areas, including the Cuyahoga Valley National Park and the Summit Metro Parks.
Ready to test your limits? The Burning River brings a highly anticipated Ultra to Cuyahoga Falls on July 24, 2021. Expect a fantastic route right in the heart of Ohio.

Trail running
100 Mile
The 100 mile event starts and finishes in Downtown Cuyahoga Falls. Runners have 30 hours to complete the course and receive their belt buckle.
50 Mile
The 50 mile distance begins in Downtown Cuyahoga Falls and finishes at Silver Springs Park in Stow, Ohio. Runners have 15 hours to complete the course and receive their 50M medal.
Back Half 50 Mile
The back half 50 mile distance begins at Silver Springs Park in Stow, Ohio and finishes in Downtown Cuyahoga Falls. Back 50 runners have 16 hours to complete the course and receive their 50M medal.
100 Mile 4 Person Relay
The 100 mile relay starts and finishes in Downtown Cuyahoga Falls. Relay teams have 27 hours to complete the course and receive their medals. Female participants must run at least 25% of the segments to be considered for Co-ed awards. Relay exchange locations are subject to change.
100 Mile 8 Person Relay
The 100 mile relay starts and finishes in Downtown Cuyahoga Falls. Relay teams have 27 hours to complete the course and receive their medals. Female participants must run at least 25% of the segments to be considered for Co-ed awards. Relay exchange locations are subject to change.
Running
Pacer Registration
All 100 mile runners may have a pacer beginning at Silver Springs Park (mile 50). Runners age 60 years and over may have a pacer for the the entire race. Please see the Burning River Information Guide at westernreserveracing.com for additional pacer rules and guidelines.
