Running
Run 5k
The 5k run is open to all ages and abilities and will be professionally chip timed by Riverside Runners. The race will start at 9:00 a.m. at the parking area of Percival's Island Trail in downtown Lynchburg. The course is flat and fast as you go out and back along the paved, shady trail. Get ready to set a speed record superheroes!
Assisted Participant Team 5k
An Assisted Participant team consists of a participant seated in a stroller being pushed by another participant. Both the pusher and rider should register as 1 team entry.
RED HEAT 1 Mile Children's Fun Run (10:45am)
The 1 mile children's fun run is open to children 12 and under only. ONE parent per child may run with their small children. Parents do not have to pay or register (fun run only). Parents will receive a numbered bracelet which is their “ticket” to run with their child and/or pick up their child at the finish line parent/child meet-up corral. There will be 2 heats (races) beginning at 10:45am and 11:15am. The start location for all heats will be the parking area of Percival's Island Trail in downtown Lynchburg. Superheroes will chase the villains to the half-way point, refuel, and run back to headquarters. This fun run will not be timed and all kids will receive a collectible finisher's medal. Be sure to stay for the post-race kids dance party!
BLUE HEAT 1 Mile Children's Fun Run (11:15am)

Walking
Walk 5k
The 5k walk starts 2-3 minutes later than the 5K run, just to help with start line congestion. The 5k walk will also be professionally chip timed but is non-competitive (no age group or overall awards issued).
