Cause 4 Paws Gary 5k Dog Walk/Run
All walkers/runners with dogs must provide current proof of rabies at check-in. You can update your pet's vaccines on the day of the race. See the "Store" tab for available vaccines, and prices. Bordatella vaccines are recommended,but not required. All walkers/runners with pets assume the liability that their pet is good health and free from infections diseases and parasites. In respect to the Canine Influenza Virus(CIV), should you decide to participate with your pet(canine) you do so at your OWN RISK. A 45 Day Voucher can be purchased online or at the event for vaccine/micro-chips. Services can be rendered a separate location or at the event. Cats may receive service on site, however, they must be in a carrier to prevent escape. City of Gary ordinance requires all pit bull and/or pit bull mix breed dogs wear a harness, and muzzle(basket muzzles are allowed) while in the public way. All females dogs in heat, and aggressive dogs are prohibited from this event. Puppies 12 weeks and under may participate in the vaccine clinic only. All pet walkers/runners are required to clean up after their pet and dispose of any and all pet waste properly. ALL PETS MUST BE ON A LEASH FOR THIS EVENT.
