- FULL EVENT INFORMATION: The East China Educational Foundation proudly offers the 15th annual Chili-heart 5K run / 2 Mile walk on Saturday, February 7, 2026 - Registration 8:00-8:50am, race from 9:00am-10:30am. Additionally, the East China Educational Foundation is proud to add a CHILI COOK-OFF from 9:30am-11:00am, as part of the event.
- CHILI-HEART 5K Run / 2-Mile Walk: Runners ($25 in 2025 or $30 after January 1, 2026) or Walkers ($25) are welcome as REGISTRATION is NOW OPEN! The event will all take pace at St. Clair River Elementary School (formerly St. Clair Middle School) on Saturday, February 7, 2026. The address is 4335 Yankee Road, St. Clair MI 48079. Registration & Packet Pick-up is from 8:00-8:45am, race starting at 9:00am, awards at ~10:20am. Virtual participants/donors can pick up their t-shirt & participatory medal on Friday, February 6 (3:30-5:00pm at St. Clair River Elementary School. No awards are given to virtual participants/donors, but we appreciate your commitment and registration! - CHILI-HEART CHILI COOK-OFF: Registration is now open to COMPETE IN ($25) or ATTEND ($15) the event. Competitors please just bring your LARGE CROC POT of chili, extension cord for power, a surge protector and serving spoon. Arrive on Saturday, February 7, 2025 at St. Clair River Elementary School between 8:30-9:30am to set-up in the cafeteria for this event. A table, cups for your chili, and utensils will be provided by ECEF. ATTENDEES are encouraged to attend to taste test the chili from 9:30-11:00am. Voting will end at 10:45am and then awards will be given out thereafter. The event officially ends at 11:00am.

Chili Cook-Off (Competitor)
Selecting this option is registering to COMPETE in the Chili Cook-off. This option ALSO allows competitors making chili to attend, taste test and vote in the chili competition. Please bring a LARGE CROC POT (or more/small roaster) of chili for the competition as well as a serving spoon for your chili. Small taste testing cups, spoons & napkins will be provided by ECEF. Those making chili will be contacted several days in advance for a total of participants expected for chili making amounts. Questions, contact Mike at 810-689-4447. On-site registration on February 7, 2026: $40.00 cash or check payable to: East China Educational Foundation (ECEF) NOTE: Participants and consumers of chili take on all responsibilities for health risks during or after this event. The East China Educational Foundation is not responsible for any sickness due to consumed chili. By registering for this event, all contestants and attendees agree to these statements.
Chili Cook-Off (Attendee)
Selecting this option is registering to ATTEND in the Chili Cook-off. Attendees here will be able to taste test as much chili as they would like, voting for their favorite chili. Drinks and sides (chips/crackers) will also be provided to all attendees. Attendees, participants and consumers of chili take on all responsibilities for health risks during or after this event. The East China Educational Foundation is not responsible for any sickness due to consumed chili. By registering for this event, all contestants and attendees agree to these statements. On-site registration on February 7, 2026: $20.00 cash or check payable to: East China Educational Foundation (ECEF)
Virtual Participant / Donor
We appreciate the support of our VIRTUAL PARTICIPANTS & DONORS. Those registering for the virtual options will still be able to pick up a t-shirt and medal on Friday, February 6, 2026 between 3:30-5:00pm at St. Clair River Elementary School. Please note that ALL PROCEEDS from your virtual donation will go directly into classrooms to support the teachers, staff and students within the East China School District.
