Chord Energy Williston Marathon

The 4th Annual Chord Energy Williston Marathon is a premier endurance event in Williston, North Dakota. This course is held at the Williston Basin International Airport. Runners will get the unique experience of running on the runway of the airport! 

The Chord Energy Williston Marathon is a non-profit event and all proceeds go directly to Upper Missouri Relay For Life in Williston, ND. Our race day events are Marathon, Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K. The Williston Marathon is a USATF-Certified Course and a Boston Qualifier! Healthy living can help prevent cancer and the marathon is a great way to keep our community active and support and healthy lifestyle. 

The Upper Missouri Relay For Life is a fundraising event put on through American Cancer Society and funds raised are used towards patient care, travel expenses cancer patients may need and towards other things that are given to patients at our local cancer treatment center here in Williston, North Dakota. 
 

PACKET PICKUP:

June 5th from 5:30pm to 8:00pm - Williston Area Recreation Center (822 18th St E, Williston, ND 58801)

June 6th at the "big tent" at Williston Marathon start line from 5:30am to 8:00am

All runners registered for the marathon, half marathon,10K, or 5K will receive a 2025 finisher metal and event t-shirt!

**Must register by April 26, 2026 to receive a shirt!

All events will start and finish at the Overland Aviation building on the Williston Basin International Airport campus. There is ample parking at the event plus areas for family and friends to cheer on our runners! Please do not block any driveways, intersections or entrances to the oil pumper sites.

Marathon - Shotgun kick off at 6:30am

Half Marathon - Shotgun kick off at 7:00am

10K - Shotgun kick off at 8:00am

5K - Shotgun kick off at 8:15am

Due to the nature of the roads outside of the airport gates, we do not allow strollers for the 10K, Half Marathon, and Marathon races. No animals unless they are a service animal. Williston Marathon event closes at 2pm. Please be aware when registering for your event of choice.

Routes:
The routes will be thoroughly marked by signage and volunteer direction. Route maps will also be available online, at packet pick-up and at the event table on race day!

Water Stations:
There 6 water stations along the marathon/half marathon route. Along with basic first aid, electrolytes, and light refuel options 

Restrooms:
Restrooms will be available at the start line and on the route.

Timing:

Post Run Event:
Spectators and participants are all welcome to enjoy our finish line and post run event.
