Concord California Turkey Trot 5K
About the Event
Diablo Valley Federal Credit Union (DVFCU) is pleased to welcome you to our information page about the Concord Turkey Trot, a 5K run/walk benefiting Loaves and Fishes of Contra Costa.
The event will take place at Newhall Park on Thanksgiving, Thursday, November 26, 2026, at 8 AM. For the safety and enjoyment of all participants, registration for this event is capped at a TBD number of participants. Everyone participating in the 5K run/walk course must have a paid registration, with the exception of children 2 years old and under, who will be in a stroller for the duration of the event.
The course includes varied terrain, including grass fields, park pathways, and city streets. Those participating with strollers or pets will be asked to enter at the back of the start area so as not to impede those wishing to race for time. All 5K Run/Walk Participants will receive a tech t-shirt and a medal!
The race will take place rain or shine. Once your registration has been paid, there are no refunds. This includes inclement weather or any other reason, such as injuries, illness, or personal emergencies.

Family 4-pack registration special
IMPORTANT: ALL FOUR INDIVIDUALS MUST BE REGISTERED AT THE TIME OF CHECKOUT. YOU CANNOT GO BACK AND ADD OR CHANGE PARTICIPANTS LATER. Limited number of entries available for the 4-pack special. Event will take place rain or shine. Once registered, there are no refunds for inclement weather, personal emergencies, injuries, illnesses, change of plans, etc. Those participating with strollers or pets will be asked to enter the start area at the back.
Kids Run presented by Liberty Gymnastics
The Kids Run presented by Liberty Gymnastics will be held at 9:15 AM. It is designed for children age walking-8. No strollers or pets in this event. The course will be a quick loop around the soccer field near the main start/finish area. This race is not timed and no performance based awards are given. All kids will receive a participant ribbon.
Charity 5K Run/Walk Entry
This "admit one" entry includes a $50 donation to Loaves and Fishes of Contra Costa. It also includes a special long-sleeve tech t-shirt with Loaves and Fishes branding. The event will take place rain or shine. Once registered, there are no refunds for inclement weather, personal emergencies, injuries, illnesses, change of plans, etc. Those participating with strollers or pets will be asked to enter the start area at the back.
