About this race
Welcome back runners to the annual Fallen Heroes 5 Miler.
Come out and run the through the amazing streets of downtown Fredericksburg. The starting location will be held at James Monroe High School. The race is sponsored by the Fredericksburg Fallen Heroes, a local non-profit organization that provides support to the veterans and first responders in need of assistance in the local community.
This is the 7th race in the Coldwell Banker Elite Grand Prix series in conjunction with the Fredericksburg Area Running Club.
The race will begin at James Monroe High School at the track.
Packet pick up: Friday, July 3, 2026 Time: 1-6 p.m.
Location: Lucky Road Run Shop 1865 Carl D. Silver Pkwy 22401
Packets will also be available the day of the race between 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. at the parking lot of James Monroe High School. Please arrive early to retrieve your packet to be ready to start promptly. Race will begin at 7:30 a.m.
- Entry Fees:
February 17th –April 8th: $35.00 - April 9th-June 8th: $40.00
- June 9th- July 2nd: $45.00
- July 3rd- July 4th: $50.00
In order to receive your free shirt, you must register by June 8th
Extra shirts will be available for purchase with a limited supply on the day of the race . Cost: $20.00

Age Groups - 19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 & Over Overall winners will be presented awards in both the men and women division; 1st, 2nd and 3rd.
All finishers will receive a medal. Happy 250th Anniversary!
Two prizes will be given for the best Patriotic outfit: Best Male and Best Female. $50.00 to each winner

Heritage 5 Miler
Get ready to bring on your best patriotic reflection of Independence for the Annual Heritage 5 Miler Race. Bring your flags, your favorite red, white and blue shorts, tutu’s, socks, hats or anything that shows you are ready to show your patriotism. This event is associated with the FARC (Fredericksburg Area Running Club)through their Coldwell Banker Elite Grand Prix Series. This run is a scenic 5 Mile USATF Certified Course which runs along the Rappahannock River and other shaded areas of the City of Fredericksburg. This race is run by Fredericksburg Fallen Heroes: a local non-profit that provides support to the Veterans and First Responders in need of assistance in our local community. The race will begin at Caroline Street between Lafayette and Frederick and finishing at Charlotte street between Princess Anne and Caroline Street. RACE STARTS AT 7:30 a.m. PROMPTLY Race Day Registration: July 4th: 6:30 a.m. – 7:15 a.m. at the Fredericksburg Visitors Center at 706 Caroline Street. Please allow enough time to complete your registration process. Race will start approximately 2.5 blocks from location. You may register the same day of the event. Entry Fees: Postmarked no later than: February 17th – June 7th $25 June 8th – July 2nd $30 July 3rd, July 4th – $35 You Must register by June 11th to receive a shirt. We cannot guarantee a shirt after the 11th of June. Overall winners will be presented awards in both the men and women division.1st, 2nd and 3rd. Age Groups - 19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 & Over - Top 3 Men and Women in each age group. Specialty awards for best man and woman: Patriotic/independence day outfit reflecting their support to our military and country
