George Mason 5K and Fun Run
About this race
Join us for the annual George Mason 5K and Fun Run! This year, all proceeds from the event will benefit the George Mason University Disability Services Fund, which helps provide scholarships, programs, and events that enhance support for students with disabilities.
If you would like to make an additional contribution, tax-deductible donations can be made through the GMU Foundation. Your generosity helps us create a more inclusive and supportive campus community.
Event Fees and Benefits
- 5K Run-Walk: $35 ($20 benefit)
- Kids Fun Run: $30 ($20 benefit)
Join fellow runners on October 14, 2023 for the George Mason 5K and Fun Run. It's a fantastic 5K, 1.6K featuring a flat and fast course in Fairfax.

Mason Nation Thriving Together 5K Live Event
This event will be in person on the George Mason University campus in Fairfax, VA. Gift cards will be presented to the top 3 overall male and female winners. Medals will be given to age group winners. **Day of registration is available until 8:45 a.m. on race day. Unfortunately, we can not accept cash**
Mason Nation Thriving Together 5K Virtual
Run or walk your 5k in your community when it works for you! Regretfully t-shirts will not be available for virtual runners. We will have a random drawing, selecting 3 virtual participants to receive gift cards.
Mason Nation Thriving Together 1 Mile Fun Run/Walk- Live Event
This event will be in person on the George Mason University campus in Fairfax, VA. Medals will be given to all participants. Regretfully t-shirts will not be available for the 1 mile event.
