About this race
We have a 1-mile, 5K & 5-mile course. Rain, snow, or shine these do not get cancelled. We give metals to all kids that participate. This is a fun run so you can walk the course, ride bikes, stroll, run or race. Just get out and get moving! We have sponsors that provide prizes and at every race we donate money to a nonprofit.

Get Moving Matsu May 13th, 2026
Please join us this season for a fun run, walk, stroll, bike ride—or just come out and get moving with the community! This year’s event series supports the Alaska Dive Search, Rescue, and Recovery Team, an all-volunteer nonprofit dedicated to public safety and water rescue operations across Alaska. The event runs every Wednesday from May 13 through August 5, 2026, and is open to all ages and fitness levels. Whether you're coming for fitness, fresh air, or to support a great cause, everyone is welcome. We’ll have a 1-mile course and a 5K option available each week. Bring your friends, family, or come solo—just come ready to move and have a good time!
Get Moving Matsu August 5th, 2026
For the 2026 run season, all proceeds will go to Alaska Dive Search Rescue and Recovery Team. The Alaska Dive Search, Rescue and Recovery Team (AK Dive Rescue) is an all-volunteer, unpaid, 501(c)(3) non-profit public safety water rescue/dive search and recovery, team that exists to provide the Department of Public Safety (DPS) a statewide capability above and underneath the waters surface. The team is activated by the State Search and Rescue Coordinator and is ready to deploy for recovery missions anywhere in Alaska usually within two hours of notification.
