The Bill Landers Building Bridges Memorial 5K Run/Walk is an annual event held in Glastonbury, Connecticut. The route begins at Hubbard Green and continues through the Buttonball neighborhood in Glastonbury. The race and course is certified and sanctioned by the USA Track & Field, and is a qualifying race for the Manchester Road Race.The race includes awards for individual age groups, a Youth Team Competition (team must consist of a minimum of 5 people ages 17 and under), an all ages Team Competition, and the School Spirit Competition. A free Kids Fun Run around Hubbard Green will also be held at 8 a.m. for youths 12 and under. Parking is available on Clark Field, just south of Hubbard Drive on Main St. Back by Popular Demand: Race bib and t-shirt pick-up. Pick-up will be available at soundRUNNER, 63 Hebron Ave., Glastonbury, from 2-6 p.m. on Friday, May 10. Race registration will also be available during these hours. On race day, race bib and t-shirt pick-up and new race registrations will be from 7:15 a.m. – 8:15 a.m. on Hubbard Green. There is no rain date and there are no refunds for inclement weather.
