About this race
The Human Race is a community fundraising event for non-profit organizations in the Sioux Empire Area. The Human Race will feature a 5K run and a 1 mile fun walk.
Each runner or walker will choose one of the nonprofits to benefit by receiving 75% of the registration fee.
No registration fees will be refunded.
Join fellow runners on June 7, 2025 for the Health Connect's Human Race. It's a fantastic 5.1K, 1.6K featuring a flat and fast course in Sioux Falls.

Center for Family Medicine - 5K Run
Center for Family Medicine is dedicated to providing the best patient centered care in an educational environment. As the home to the Sioux Falls Family Medicine Residency, it is our goal to train and prepare the next generation of Family Medicine doctors for practice in the rural upper Midwest. We see patients of all ages and demographics, and accept most insurances, Medicare, Medicaid, and the uninsured.
East River Legal Services - 5K Run
East River Legal Services (ERLS) offers free civil legal services to our communities Veterans, older Americans (60+), people with disabilities, victims of violence, and all those facing financial insecurity. We practice in four areas, which are Family Law (divorce, custody, protection orders), Housing Law (evictions, landlord/tenant issues), Public Benefits (SSI, SSDI), and Consumer Law (bankruptcy, garnishments). ERLS is committed to the belief that being poor or at risk does not make you less, that equal access to our courts is an essential part of justice, and equal justice is a universal right.
Faith Temple Food Giveaway - 5K Run
Faith Temple Food Giveaway holds a weekly food giveaway every Friday to provide food packages to low-income families and individuals. Our organization has a mission to fight hunger and poverty in our community by providing nutritious food options for those in need.
Midwest Street Medicine - 5K Run
Midwest Street Medicine is dedicated to addressing the unique health and social service needs of people experiencing homelessness in Sioux Falls. This dedicated team brings health care directly to the streets, operating with the firm belief that every person, regardless of their housing situation, deserves access to quality healthcare. Reducing the stigma surrounding mental health and addiction is key, and Midwest Street Medicine appreciates the collaboration with partner agencies who also recognize the need for compassion and tenacity in addressing the complex needs of this population.
PROJECT CAR - 5K Run
Project CAR is a nonprofit transportation ministry in Sioux Falls, committed to enhancing the wellbeing of people by providing no-cost rides for persons to health care appointments. We are powered by volunteers and work to build social and relational connections in community.
Sioux Falls Noon Sertoma - 5K Run
Sertoma is derived from three very important words Service to Mankind. OUR PURPOSE To meet the needs of communities through volunteer service. OUR VISION To create communities of change under common leadership and with a common voice that will serve the many in need. OUR MISSION To improve the quality of life today for those at risk or impacted by hearing loss through education and support.
St. Francis House - 5K Run
The St. Francis House is an ecumenical ministry to the homeless, providing transitional housing for single men, women, and families with children. Our program focuses on sobriety for our guests while assisting them with obtaining and maintaining employment in the community so they can focus on saving money and paying off their debts. We strive on our mission of “moving people from homeless to hope!
Teammates Mentoring of Sioux Falls - 5K Run
TeamMates is a free, one to one, school based mentoring program that matches a safe, caring adult volunteer with a young person, in grades 2-12. Since 1991, TeamMates Mentoring has served more than 49,000 students across a five state region in the Midwest. Our local Sioux Falls Chapter launched in 2020 through a partnership with the GreatLIFE Cares Foundation and the Sioux Falls School District. TeamMates is a developmental, strengths based mentoring program that brings together two people, with similar interests and/or life experiences, to foster a caring, supportive friendship. Mentors meet with students between 30-60 minutes, once a week, during the school day, to play games, do crafts, or just talk. We ask for a long term commitment from mentors. Upon graduation from high school, vested students are eligible to apply for scholarships. Last year, TeamMates gave away $6.5 million dollars to support students in their post-secondary education plans across five states.
The Compass Center- 5K Run
The Compass Center provides free, confidential services to survivors of sexual and domestic violence in the Sioux Falls area. Our comprehensive support includes counseling, advocacy, prevention education, and 24/7 crisis services. The Foster Network - 5K Run
The Foster Network is mission is to empower and support families who care for children placed through a licensing agency. The Foster Network currently provides clothes, socks, shoes, and hygiene items to an average of 100 kids a month.
