5K Heavy "Ruck Run" (Must Carry 35lb+ Rucksack/Backpack)

USE THE SPECIAL "RUCK RUN" REGISTRATION ON THE FAR LEFT TO WEIGH IN 08:10: Visit Sponsors to complete your Expo Passport to enter for a prize drawing including 2x $50 Columbus Running Company Gift Cards and a 3-Day nuCamp T@B 400 Boondock Camper Rental Grand Prize compliments of Haydocy Road Adventures 08:15: Color Guard Flag Raising Ceremony, National Anthem, Pledge of Allegiance 08:33: Ruck Run Delayed Start 09:35: Ruck Run Awards Ceremony 09:40: Passport Prize Drawing (must be present to win) 10:00: Course Closes Official Rules for the Hilltop U.S.A. 5K "Heavy Ruck Run" Division • All participants will wear footwear. • Participants in the Ruck Run division must have a minimum of 35 pounds, including their rucksacks/backpacks, which will be weighed and verified at the finish line. • The frame of the ruck/backpack will count towards the 35-pound limit. • You must bring your own rucksack/backpack. Alice Style, Blackhawk, Molle, or Military issued packs are recommended. Civilian backpacks and backpacks without frames are also permitted. • Weighted Vests are not allowed. • You must bring your own weights. The 35 pounds cannot include rocks, sandbags (unless securely taped shut), water or other items which could be picked up along the route. • Please consider using food to use as weight in your backpack: beans, rice, nonperishable items, cans, macaroni, pasta, etc. You will be able to donate this food to the Mid-Ohio Food Bank when you reach the finish line. • You must weigh in before the race and weigh out after the race to be eligible for Top 3 Male/Female Awards. BDUs are optional but encouraged for military personnel.
