About this race
Huffing For Stuffing combines community spirit with a lively race atmosphere to improve the lives of many of our community members. Since our inception in 2007, Huffing For Stuffing has provided over half a million dollars in funding to our local food bank! The race is held each Thanksgiving morning at the Museum of the Rockies in Bozeman, Montana. All abilities are welcome. We want you to be a part of Gallatin Valley’s favorite Thanksgiving holiday tradition! Huffing For Stuffing is presented by HRDC's Gallatin Valley Food Bank in partnership with Big Sky Wind Drinkers. Please register early to guarantee a race shirt.

Ready for a 10K on Thanksgiving morning? Our 10K course weaves through the neighborhoods of South Bozeman and makes for a memorable start to your holiday. Whether you are going for your personal race best or just getting out to enjoy this Thanksgiving tradition, it’s bound to get you into the Huffing For Stuffing community spirit.
5K
This TIMED event is for our more competitive runners, walkers, and joggers. Our timed 5K is perfect for those who prefer a shorter distance race. You are bound to have a smile on your face when you cross the HFS finish line!
5k Fun Run (UNTIMED RACE)
This is an UNTIMED event for participants who prefer to go at their own pace. By far our most popular event, our 5K fun run is all about community. This event is for runners, walkers, families, strollers, skippers, costume wearers, the list goes on. If you just want to get out on Thanksgiving morning and make a memory without worrying about your running time, this is the event for you. If you are at all curious about your time please sign up for the 5K TIMED run. You will NOT receive a timing chip with your bib if you choose this event.
Kids' Run
The Kids' Run is a HFS tradition that starts off Thanksgiving morning with a smile! This year the Kids' Run price covers the cost of the shirts the participants receive. If this $12 Kids' Run registration fee is a barrier to participation, please use the code: KIDSRUN2022 and the registration fee will be waived. Online registration closes at 11:59 pm November 23rd, however, in-person registrations will be accepted at the Museum of the Rockies November 24th until 7:50 am.
Virtual 5k Run/Walk
Continue the tradition of giving back on Thanksgiving Day. Whether your schedule does not work with the in-person race, or you are out of state - you can still participate during the month of November. Join in on the fun by running anytime between November 1st and 24th. Run a virtual 5K and help raise critical funds for HRDC's Gallatin Valley Food Bank!
