About the Event
Join us at Montgomery Whitewater for the first Lil' Tri Kids Triathlon presented by Baptist OrthoNow, in celebration of summer solstice Saturday, June 20th!
Montgomery Whitewater’s “Lil Tri” puts a fun spin on the traditional triathlon by challenging young athletes to paddle, bike, and run across the finish line. Open to kids ages 6 to 12, Lil Tri consists of a 370 yard flatwater paddle, 700 yard bike ride, and 880 yard run. Montgomery Whitewater will provide all paddle equipment; participants must bring their own bike and helmet and wear secure shoes (no flip-flops or Crocs). Kids ages 6-10 must paddle with an adult in the inflatable kayak; 11- & 12-year-olds may paddle solo. Siblings may pair together.
This race is not timed and has no official winners.
All participants who register by Monday, June 8th, will receive a race t-shirt and medal. Participants who register after June 8th, will not receive a t-shirt.
The fun doesn’t end at the finish line. Stay for a full day of family fun, live music, and more.

10:00 am: Lil' Tri Kids Triathlon Start

STICK AROUND FOR THE FUN
- Breakfast of Champions ($16 per person) offered at Eddy's Restaurant until 1pm
- Kids' Lot begins at 10:30 am

Events are held rain or shine unless unsafe conditions require modification or cancellation. All registrations are final; no refunds, transfers, or deferrals will be issued. Montgomery Whitewater reserves the right to modify routes, schedules, or event details and to cancel or reschedule events for safety or operational reasons. Participants assume all risks, agree to event rules, and grant permission for promotional use of event media.

BEFORE YOU ARRIVE Bring your own bicycle and helmet. These are required to participate. Wear comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing and closed-toe shoes with backs. Crocs are not allowed. This is not a timed race. Lil' Tri is all about fun, confidence, and crossing the finish line with a smile. Water, water, water! Please bring plenty to drink to stay hydrated throughout the day. T-SHIRTS If you registered by Monday, June 8th your race t-shirt will be waiting for you at packet pick-up. If you registered after Monday, June 8th, we’re so glad you’re joining us. Just know that a t-shirt may not be included this time.
