Join us in celebration of the trails at Marquette Trails Festival Presented by Embers Credit Union. This event will be a fun weekend for all non-motorized trail users; featuring mountain bike and trail running races.
Whether you bike or run; come out, have a good time, and help raise funds for your community trails. All proceeds from this event go to the NTN singletrack trail building.
Ready to test your limits? The Marquette Trails Festival brings a highly anticipated Half-Marathon, 5K, 2.4K, 4.8K to Marquette on October 2, 2020. Expect a fantastic route right in the heart of Michigan.

Trail running
Twin Peaks Trail Run - 1/2 Marathon
The Marquette Trails Festival fan favorite is back with the challenging and fun Twin Peaks Trail Run. The course is around 13 miles and will top out on both Marquette Mountain (ski hill) and Mount Marquette. The race will start and finish at the Rippling River Resort. See marquettetrailsfestival.com for official maps. Participants will receive a commemorative Marquette Trails Festival Hat (one hat per participant even if competing in multiple festival events). 5K Trail Run
The Marquette Trails Festival 5k Trail Run is back and we are using the same basic course as the inaugural event in 2014. The race will start and finish at the Rippling River Resort. See marquettetrailsfestival.com for official maps. Participants will receive a commemorative Marquette Trails Festival Hat (one hat per participant even if competing in multiple festival events). Trail Run - Youth 1.5 Miles
The Marquette Trails Festival Youth Trail Run gives racers 15 and younger a chance to experience the challenge of a competitive trail run in an age appropriate distance. Racers will report to the The Rippling River Resort for registration sign in and bib pick up. They can then proceed to the race start at the NTN Heartwood Trailhead by 10:50am. The race will have a short open section before entering onto the singletrack trails in order to allow runners to get sorted out. Trails will be beginner to easy intermediate in difficulty and the race will end back at Rippling River under the same finish structure as used for the adult races. Participants will receive a commemorative Marquette Trails Festival Hat (one hat per participant even if competing in multiple festival events). Youth MAY compete in both the youth run and 5K (separate registrations) Watch the MTF website and Facebook page for more race information and announcements.
Mountain biking
Cross Country - Youth - 3 Miles
The MQT Trails Festival Cross Country Mountain Bike race takes place on trails that have been rated among the best in the nation for mountain biking. The Youth race gives riders 15 and under a chance to taste a smaller portion of these trails. Starting at the Rippling River Resort, racers will have a chance to get sorted out with nearly a mile of roll out through a gravel parking lot to the NTN trail head where they enter the singletrack trails. The race will be held on beginner or very mild intermediate trails appropriate for most young riders with decent bike skills. Racers will get about 1.5 miles of singletrack before coming back out to the ski hill parking lot for the sprint back to the finish line. NOTES: Youth MAY participate in both youth and 13 mile race. Youth Participants will receive a commemorative Marquette Trails Festival Hat (one Hat per participant even if competing in multiple festival events).
