2025 - Mayor's 5K on the Runway -

Timed 5K Run

Participants in the "Timed 5K" will be electronically timed. Race results will be posted at the conclusion of the race. Race results can be used in the future for qualifying for the AJC Peachtree Road Race. After the race, all participants will receive a swag bag, grab-and-go snacks, a medal, and a t-shirt. ALL participants MUST be able to complete the route NO LATER than 7:30am. Participants not maintaining this pace will be diverted along the route to meet this deadline. Make sure you use the name on your Government ID when registering, so you can be vetted through TSA.

Untimed 5K Walk/Run

Participants registered as "Untimed 5K" will not be timed and will not appear in the race results. There will be a display clock at the finish line to view your finish time. After the race, all participants will receive a swag bag, grab-and-go snacks, a medal, and a t-shirt. ALL participants MUST be able to complete the route NO LATER than 7:30am. Participants not maintaining this pace will be diverted along the route to meet this deadline. Make sure you use the name on your Government ID when registering, so you can be vetted through TSA.

5K Mayor's Heat

Participants in the 5K Mayor's Heat will receive premium parking, pre and post-race hospitality under the Mayor's Heat tent, a special commemorative T-shirt, timed race results and start in the first wave of the 5K with the mayor. ALL participants MUST be able to complete the route NO LATER than 7:30am. Participants not maintaining this pace will be diverted along the route to meet this deadline. Mayor's Guests - Mayor's Heat

5K Virtual Run/Walk - I WILL NOT BE ATTENDING THE RACE IN PERSON

YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE IN-PERSON RACE AT THE AIRPORT IF YOU ARE REGISTERED IN THIS CATEGORY. The Virtual Run/Walk category is for those unable to participate in the ATL Mayor’s 5K on the 5th Runway in person, the virtual option allows you to run or walk anytime and anywhere, even indoors on a treadmill at your own convenience. Complete the 5K on your own time and at your preferred location. You can submit your virtual race results and photos via the race registration website - look for the "results" tab at the top of the page . You will receive a commemorative T-shirt and medal after the event via USPS.

Timed 5K - Team She Soars

5K Wheelchair and Push-assist Race

This category is for wheelchair and push-assist athletes only. Push assist runners / walkers MUST register for the race as 5K Timed Runners or 5K Untimed Runners to assist their athlete.
