Med Center Health 10K Classic
About this race
The Med Center Health 10K Classic is in its 47th year! This year's event will be held on Saturday, September 19 at the Bowling Green Ballpark located at 300 E. 8th Ave, Bowling Green, KY 42101. The Med Center Health & Fitness Expo and Pasta Party will be held on Friday, September 18 at The Medical Center - WKU Health Sciences Complex from 4-7 p.m. You will be able to purchase additional pasta party tickets for non-registered guests at the door. Additional adult (13+) tickets are $5.00 and child (6-12) tickets are $3.00. Participant perks include T-shirt, medal, entry to the health & fitness expo and pre-race pasta party, pre and post-race snack, individual race results on the 10K website, entry in the early bird drawing if registered by 7/31 and opportunity to participate in the cash prize drawings. Running
The Medical Center 10K Classic
Participants in the 10K should begin to assemble at the Start Line (University Blvd by McNeill Elementary), at 7:50 AM CST. Seeders will place you on the starting line based upon your expected 10K running pace. Seeders will have signs that indicate the number of minutes that, on the average, a runner expects to run each mile. For example, if you expect to run the 10K in 40 minutes, then line up behind the seeder at the start with the sign that shows "6 Minutes." For the safety of all runners, please do not line up ahead of your realistic pace. Such action will impede the faster runners and also can cause a safety hazard. For liability reasons, we ask that there be no strollers, pets or use of headsets on the course. Course will close at 9:30 AM CST.
The Medical Center 10K Wheelchair race
This event is a wheelchair only race. Participants need to be at start line (University Blvd by McNeill Elementary) at 7:45 AM CST.
5K run/walk
This event is a run or a walk. Participants need to be at start line (University Blvd by McNeill Elementary) at 7:20 AM CST.
Walking
1.5 mile fun walk
No running in this event. Participants need to be at start line (University Blvd by McNeill Elementary) at 7:35 AM CST.
