My Unheard Voice: Restoring Hope 5K
About this race
Join us for the My Unheard Voice Restoring Hope 5K Run/Walk—a morning of movement, worship, community, and purpose in beautiful Laurelhurst Park.
My Unheard Voice is a faith-based nonprofit organization dedicated to breaking the silence surrounding child sexual abuse. We raise awareness, create space for survivors’ stories to be heard, provide helpful resources, and support survivors as they take meaningful steps toward restoration. We believe that the wounds of the past do not have to define the future.
Participants of all ages and abilities are invited to run or walk the professionally RFID chip-timed course, which consists of four loops along the park’s paths. Finishers will be awarded a medal and an event t-shirt!
This 5K is more than a race. It is an opportunity to stand with survivors, bring an often-hidden issue into the light. Funds raised through registrations, donations, and sponsorships will support the continued growth of My Unheard Voice. This includes strengthening our organizational infrastructure, expanding our resources, and building our capacity to serve more individuals. Proceeds will also support Phase 1 of our long-term vision to establish a shelter for survivors. This foundational phase will focus on research and planning, program development, and building the community partnerships needed to create a safe place where survivors can pursue healing.
The event will include a 5K run/walk, a time of worship with live music, opportunities to learn more about our mission, and space to gather as a community around a cause that matters deeply.
Whether you run, walk, donate, or sponsor the event, your participation helps turn silence into awareness, awareness into action, and action into hope. Come take a step with us toward a future where every unheard voice has a safe place to be heard.
