About this race
The 10th Annual Ocean State Rhode Races in Narragansett, RI will be held on Sunday October 25, 2026. Race weekend features a Marathon, Half Marathon and 5k Race.
The Marathon will start at 7:30 am, the Half Marathon will start at 8:00 AM and the 5k at 8:15 am, all on Sunday
This boutique Rhode Island marathon will showcase what is great about the Ocean State. Not only does the course feature classic Rhode Island beauty, our post-race festival will include an authentic RI experience at iconic Narragansett Town Beach. For runners and by runners, the event offers direct access to the race directors who promise timely communication and personal touches throughout your race experience. The marathon course is USATF certified and is a Boston Marathon and Abbott World Marathon Majors Qualifier.
RI Senior Games is pleased to announce our affiliation with Rhode Races to offer a 5K road race that qualifies runners for the National Senior Games Association competition in 2027! The Ocean State Rhode Race will feature a team competing for medals in five-year age groups from 50-54, to 90+. At the registration page, "Would you like to join or create a team?", be sure to respond ”YES” and join team RI Senior Games.
This is also an “Endorsed“ race by the New England 65+ Runners Club. NE 65+ Running Club
The Ocean State Rhode Races Half is the final stop of the Rhode Race Series, a five stop series of Rhode Island Half Marathons.

Please Note: Ocean State Rhode Races will be happening rain or shine. Because of the logistics of planning for a race of this size, we cannot offer refunds for any reason. In the event that the weather is severe enough to create an unsafe environment for participants, organizers will cancel the event with no refunds issued.

The course is a stunning mix of beautiful farms, coastal homes, old rock walls and tree-lined, back roads. The race runs past ocean views, river walks, kayak stands and fishing holes. Race day starts at famous Narragansett Town Beach, winding through beautiful US 1A before descending into gorgeous Bonnet Shores. The race rejoins US 1A, following working farms and picturesque waterways before heading back to the finish at the Town Beach. The race is truly quintessential Rhode Island. The course is USATF certified and is a Boston Marathon Qualifier.
Tufts Health Plan Half Marathon
The course is a stunning mix of beautiful farms, coastal homes, old rock walls and tree-lined, back roads. The race runs past ocean views, river walks, kayak stands and fishing holes. Race day starts at famous Narragansett Town Beach, winding through beautiful US 1A before descending into gorgeous Bonnet Shores. 5k
The 5k course will follow the start and finish of our larger races but enjoy a turn around on a beautiful, tree lined back road. The race will kick off 15 mins after our half marathon at 8:15 am at the same start banner as the rest of the Rhode Races.
