Parkie’s 5K
About this race
Bolingbrook Park District's Parkie's 5K is back! We've got the flat, fast course, and community feel that you've loved for years!
Run, Walk or push a stroller to make it a family event. participants fully registered by August 1st are guaranteed to receive t shirts in their size, those registered after August 1st are not guaranteed a shirt or correct shirt size. Each participant earns a finishers gift. See below for additional awards and recognition. Same day registration will be available on race day starting at 6:30 am. Pre-registration racers will be able to pick up race packets on August 21, between 3:00-7:00pm at the Bolingbrook Recreation and Aquatic Complex (200 Lindsey Lane) in our Multipurpose Room.

- $30 adults (15 yrs +), $27 child (6-14 yrs), if registered by July 31, 2026 at 11:50 pm
- $35 adults (15 yrs +), $32 child (6-14 yrs), if registered by August 1-August 20, 2026, at 9:00 am
- $40 adults (15 yrs +), $38 child (6-16 yrs), if registered on Race Day
- $25 1-Mile Walk
- All participants will receive a commemorative medals - 5K only
- Award medals will be presented to:
- top overall male & female finisher
- top 3 males & females in each category: 10 and under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75+
- 5K only
- Those registered by August 1st will be guaranteed to receive a t-shirt.
Parkie’s 1-Mile Family Fun Walk
Bolingbrook Recreation & Aquatic Complex
Ages 4 years & up
Walk or push a stroller through the neighborhood for this fun, untimed 1-Mile Family Fun Walk.
Stroller riders are free, but will not receive a race shirt or finisher’s medal. Registered runners
must be at least 5 years old.
Each participant will receive a t-shirt in their size.
Join fellow runners on August 25, 2018 for the Parkie’s 5K. It's a fantastic 5K, 10K featuring a flat and fast course in Bolingbrook.

Parkie's 5k
Join the Bolingbrook Park District by participating in Parkie's Famous 5K/10k. Parkie's has been running for over 15 years and has grown to be one of the most popular events in the area. The race starts and finishes in front of the Bolingbrook Recreation and Aquatic Complex. The USATF certified course (IL-15015-JW) winds through subdivisions and park property on paved streets. Course monitors, split timers, and water stations will be provided. Strollers and walkers are welcome at Parkie's 5k/10k. Strollers pose a special risk and for the safety of all participants, strollers must start at the back of the field. Strollers and walkers will start at a delayed time from runners. Pets, bicycles, in-line skates, and other wheeled vehicles (except wheelchairs) are not allowed. Packet pick up is August 24, 2018 from 3-7 pm at the Bolingbrook Recreation and Aquatic Complex (BRAC) at 200 S. Lindsey Lane, Bolingbrook, IL 60440). We will also have pick up available beginning at 6:30 am on race day at the race site at the Bolingbrook Recreation and Aquatic Complex (200 S. Lindsey Lane, Bolingbrook, IL 60440). New for 2018! After the race, join us for Parkie's post-race "Porking Lot" Party sponsored by Famous Dave's BBQ, included with your entry fee! Every 5k and 10k runner will receive one sandwich and two sides. Kids Dash runners will receive a kids slider and one side.
Parkie's 10k
Parkie's 10k starts and finishes in front of the Bolingbrook Recreation and Aquatic Complex, fifteen minutes ahead of Parkie's 5k. The two races share the first two miles and then the Parkie's 10k USATF certified course (IL-16089-NM) winds through subdivisions and park property on paved streets. Course monitors, split timers, and water stations will be provided. Strollers and walkers are welcome at Parkie's 10k. We ask that walkers, slower runners, and strollers remain to the right side of the road to allow the 5k runners to pass. Strollers pose a special risk and for the safety of all participants, strollers must start at the back of the field.
