Pittsburgh Melanoma Foundation 5k Run/Walk
About the Event
Our annual 5k race will take place on June 13, 2026! If you are unable to attend in person, we are offering a virtual option again for this year.
In Person Event:
If you've attended our 5k in the past, it will be organized as our previous events were. If this is your first time, here's some info! Our course runs along Corrigan Drive. Our course starts near the black and yellow playground along Corrigan Drive, heads down toward Library Road past the ice rink and back to end near the starting line.
Registration fee includes a moisture-wicking t-shirt, timing chip, and race bib.
Virtual 5k Option:
If you are unable to attend in person, but want to support our cause, you may choose to register for our virtual 5k. You may complete your 5k at any time. We love seeing pictures of your events too, so please feel free to share them. During 2025, our virtual 5k drew participants from 25 different states across the country!

5k Run/Walk (TIMED) (All Ages)
This is our timed 5k event that is hosted in-person. This event is for runners/walkers of all ages. The course runs along Corrigan Drive in South Park. The event will take place on June 13th at 9AM. Registration fee includes a moisture-wicking t-shirt, bib number, and timing chip.
5k Run/Walk (UNTIMED) (under 18 yrs old)
This event is geared toward our runners/walkers 18 and under who do not wish to be timed. Registering as an untimed runner will still include your moisture-wicking shirt and running bib, but no timing chip.
Virtual 5k Registration--I can't make it in person, but I want a shirt!
So how does a virtual 5k work? Your registration fee includes our 5k t-shirt (polyester/cotton blend) and a race bib number. Since it's a virtual event this year, you have the flexibility to complete the 5k at your convenience. We encourage you to wear your race shirt and snap a few pictures as you're completing it. Feel free to complete it individually or with others. This is all up to you. The registration fee includes shipping costs to send you your race materials.
