Aquathlon - Swim/5K Run
Let's get wild and combine swimming with running! Pick your starting time during registration, and begin the event with a refreshing swim in the Pleasant Valley Pool. You will have ten minutes to complete your swim and transition to your running gear in your own lap lane. You choose your distance based on your swimming ability. The scenic 5K course winds through the streets of the quiet Cub Run Neighborhood, . After the neighborhood the course heads out on the Cub Run nature trail that is filled with peaceful forest views. There is a short duration of sidewalk running along Stonecroft Blvd. Now you’ll head back into serenity of the Cub Run nature trail and loop back to the Pleasant Valley Pool to finish. The 5K course is best described as “rolling” with a few moderate hills. The course is paved with exception to about 30 feet where the course crosses a gravel road. There are no time limits on the 5K course. Walkers and runners are equally welcome at this event! Each participant will receive a Race Shirt. All proceeds from this all-volunteer event will go towards the Pleasant Valley Recreation Association for capital improvements on the pool.

Run Anywhere in the World! Support the Pleasant Valley Pool by participating in the PV 5K Virtual Run. Run 5K at a location of your choosing, anywhere in the world and text or email in your results! All virtual runners will receive a Race Shirt! If you register by August 8th, you will receive your shirt before August 22nd. If you register on or after April 8th, you will receive your shirt approximately two weeks after the event. Your virtual run can take place on a day of your choosing. Encourage your friends to register and run with you! If you are interested in organizing a group at your location with 6 or more runners, we’d love to hear from you. (And we just might have a special thank you gift for you as well!) Please email us at info@pvaquathlon5k.com for more info.
