5K Ruck Run/Walk
A "Ruck" is a common activity in the military where a soldier marches with a backpack on, typically holding all the gear they will need to live out of in the field. This can be done as either a run or a walk. For R4TW's Ruck, we are encouraging giving back to the community by filling up a backpack with canned goods and rucking a 5K. All canned goods will be donated to the Community Harvest Food Bank. Sign up for this 5K Ruck and see if you can ruck like a real soldier! 5K Adaptive Division
For individuals with permanent physical and/or visual impairments. Individuals with Physical Disabilities: Individuals with a permanent physical disability that precludes them from participating at a high level with their peers in non adaptive programs. Amputation/limb loss, spinal cord injury, spina bifida, leg length discrepancy, permanent joint disorders, cerebral palsy/brain injury/stroke and other orthopedic and locomotor disabilities are just a few of the examples. Individuals with Visual Impairments: Individuals who have vision that's not correctable through glasses, contacts, etc are encouraged to signed up under the "Adaptive Division". With the addition of the Men’s & Women’s Resident Goalball teams living and training at Turnstone Center, we’re blessed to have these ambassadors with various levels of visual impairments helping with many of Turnstone programs and will be at this Race For Warrior Event. 5K Run w/ your Dog
We are incorporating a parallel 'lane' for those that wish to bring their leashed K9 friend for fun at the airport! Dogs are encouraged to participate in the run as long as they are leashed at all times, current on rabies and distemper vaccines, and have excellent temperament with other dogs and children. 5k Virtual Race
Our third year offering a Virtual Run as a way for you and your group to still participate in these trying times. A virtual run is done on your own time and pace with the ability to submit your results online after completion! This event will have its own award category, M/F overall and 1st place for each age group will be awarded. R4TW T-Shirt (For registration made before 5/5/23) Your t-shirt will be mailed to you. Please submit your time no later than 5/22/23. Virtual Run: You can text or email your times into the results. You will be sent a email on how to do that. Your results will be included in a report of all the virtual runners.
