7/19/2020 ANNOUNCEMENT - REDHEAD RUN VIRTUAL RACE ANNOUNCEMENT No one can say that this has been a normal, uneventful year. The situation we are all in is something that I don't think any of us could imagine being in last September when we met for the Redhead Run. Every one of our supporters is important to us - the Kevin R. Schwiebert Memorial Fund wouldn't be where it is without you. It's because we care about everyone's health that we have made the difficult decision to make this year's Redhead Run a virtual event. Despite not being able to meet together in person, we hope that you will all continue to support us for this year's virtual Redhead Run. Your participation in this event is what keeps the memorial fund going, and we're really excited to share that we have enough in the fund to provide a $1,000 scholarship next year! Details for signing up still remain the same - you can get a registration form from me, or you can go to runsignup.com and search for Redhead Run. We are also still planning on the t-shirts for all those who participate virtually, and you will receive these in the mail. As many of you also know, our gift card giveaways after the Redhead Run are always popular, and that's not changing this year! Original Announcement -- Join us for the 5th annual Redhead Run 5K, benefiting the Kevin R. Schwiebert Memorial Fund. This is an event for the entire family! This year will have a slight change from other years as we are adding a 1 MILE route! You can register through the same link as for the 5K. All participants, whether on the 1 mile or 5K route, will be in the drawing for great prizes, but only those participating in the 5K will be timed and eligible for medals. Both courses will begin and end at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Florida, Ohio (K980 County Road 17D) at 9:00 a.m. Registration/sign-in will start at 8:00 a.m. The registration fee is $20 per participant before August 31st and $25 after that date. Kids 12 and under are free with paid parents or guardian (they do still need to register and sign the waiver). Registrations will be accepted until the start of the race. Anyone registering before September 13th will receive a free Redhead Run t-shirt with their registration. Everyone is welcome - run, walk, ride your bike...just as long as you have a great time!
