Join the Akanimo Cancer Foundation for the annual Run 4 Nimo 2026, a community 5K Run/Walk dedicated to raising awareness and support for children battling cancer. This meaningful event honors the life and legacy of Akanimo (“Nimo”), whose courageous fight against a rare childhood cancer continues to inspire hope, advocacy, and action for families around the world.

Participants of all ages are invited to run, walk, volunteer, donate, and stand together in support of:

About the Event

Run 4 Nimo 2026 is more than a race — it is a movement to bring hope, awareness, and support to children fighting cancer and the families walking beside them every day.

The event was created in memory of Akanimo (“Nimo”), who battled Desmoplastic Small Round Cell Tumor (DSRCT), a rare and aggressive childhood cancer. Through this annual event, the Akanimo Cancer Foundation continues its mission to create awareness, support childhood cancer research, and provide meaningful assistance to families in need.

Kids Fun Run

Children are encouraged to participate in the Kids Fun Run @ Run4Nimo 2026, designed to promote awareness, compassion, and community involvement among young participants.

Each year, hundreds of thousands of children worldwide are diagnosed with cancer. Run 4 Nimo exists to remind families battling childhood cancer that they are not alone.

This event brings the community together to:
