About this race
Yes, we know it's hot out there in the summer. That's why we're inviting you to "Run With the Roosters," 4 Mile Run & Walk at Sabino Canyon! It's a great way to celebrate Father's Day!!! Beat the Heat start time is bright and early at 5:05 a.m. As always, Everyone Runs brings you the most value for your money with our famous free Mexican breakfast, free race photos, custom female and male race shirts, and overall and 5-year age group rooster trophy awards! Male and female overall winners take home free running shoes from Fleet Feet! Always open to runners and walkers (course closes at 7am - you must finish by then).
We even have team divisions for dad + son dad + daughter, and dad +2 kids. If you want to enter in one of those groups, please be sure click on add another registrant, say yes to joining a group, sign the waiver, and then choose create a new group, and then pick the proper group type (dad + son, dad + daughter, or dad + 2). Dogs are not permitted in Sabino Canyon. Entry fees are not refundable and bibs cannot be transfered without prior approval by Everyone Runs. Please consider purchasing event insurance during your registration process.

June 18, 10am - 6pm, only at Fleet Feet on Tanque Verde
June 19, 10am - 4pm, only at Fleet Feet on Oracle Rd.
Note: if you register on June 18, your bib will only be available on June 19 at the Oracle location. If you register on June 19 your bib will only be available at the race.
Parking Details: there will be plenty of parking in the Sabino Canyon main parking lot. Please remember that a Coronado National Forest parking pass is required. Use this link to purchase yours now: https://www.recreation.gov/sitepass/74388. You can also purchase it at one of the park kiosks. If you already have an annual pass, you are good to go!
Timing: this event will be chip timed event and you must wear your bib on the front of your body to receive a time. Your timing chip is on the back of your bib.

Run with the Roosters Virtual 5 Miler
For those of you who would prefer to run on your own without crowds, we are now offering our Virtual 5 miler. The rules are simple: 1.) Run 5 miles wherever you choose. We do not recommend the actual race course, as it has no shoulder for running. Run at your own risk. We will not be held liable for bad choices. 2.) You must run at 5am. That's why it's Run with the Roosters. 3.) Run on a safe terrain/road that is similar to our Kinney Road course, which has lots of rolling hills. Do not run the Kinney Rd. course. It is unsafe! 4.) In order to have a time in the results, you must send us a photo of you and your watch showing the time and mileage. If you don't want a time, that's cool! Age group awards for the virtual will only be for 1st place in 5-year age-groups. 5.) Swag: you'll still receive your custom race shirt, race bib, and be entered in our post-race raffle. 6.) Breakfast: since you won't be with us, we will donate the cost of your breakfast to local charity to be determined (typically for education or food bank) 7.) Virtual contests! Yes, we will have special awards for creativity in the virtual event. Details will be announced soon. At Everyone Runs, we like to make sure everyone has a choice. 5 Mile Road Run
Packet pick-up details: We will not be offering race day packet pick-up, so we will be offering a full week for you to pick-up your race bib. August 18, 19, 20: Fleet Feet on Tanque Verde only. Available during store hours, 10am - 6pm. If you have registered between April 18-20, your bib will only be available August 20-22 at Fleet Feet on Oracle Rd. only. August 20, 21, 22: Fleet Feet on Oracle Rd. only. Available during store hours, 10am - 6pm, on Thursday and Friday. Saturday 10am to 2pm. Masks will be available for the first 100. Mask must be worn prior at all times in the Old Tucson parking lot, at the start, and put back on when you approach the finish line. Friends can pick-up for friends. Timing: This event will be chip timed event and you must wear your bib on the front of your body to receive a time. Your timing chip is on the back of your bib. You must be able to finish the 5 miles in less than 1:50. If you cannot, please do the virtual event. To avoid close contact, we will be starting this race in seeded waves and we will limit each wave to 10 runners. Waves will start with 5:30 to 6:30 milers, then 6:31 to 7:30, 7:31 to 8:30, 8:31 – to 9:30, 9:31 to 10:30, 10:31 to 11:30, 11:31 to 12:30, and 12:30+. Walkers and jogging strollers will start in the back of the pack. Each wave will leave one- minute apart. Final placements are set by chip timing, so don’t worry about not starting with a specific wave. If your register after August 19, you will be seeded in the final waves.
