Running of the Elk
About this race
The 13th annual Kaiser Permanente Running of the Elk 5K, 10K & Kids’ Fun Runs starts and finishes at District56 in the heart of Elk Grove, CA. Help us support Elk Grove Youth Sports Foundation by participating in this year’s event!
Join fellow runners on October 17, 2021 for the Running of the Elk. It's a fantastic 5K, 10K, Half-Marathon, 0.8K featuring a flat and fast course in Elk Grove.

Running
5K
3.1 mile (in person) run or walk. Entry fee includes bib number, race timing, microfiber t-shirt, goody bag, and finisher's medal. Race day is Sunday, October 17, 2021.
10K
6.2 mile (in person) run or walk. Entry fee includes bib number, race timing, microfiber t-shirt, goody bag, and finisher's medal. Race day is Sunday, October 17, 2021.
Half Marathon
13.1 mile (In person) run. Cut--off time is 4 hours. Entry fee includes bib number, race timing, microfiber t-shirt, goody bag, and finisher's medal. Race day is Sunday, October 17, 2021.
Kids Fun Run
1/2 and 1/4 mile noncompetitive fun runs for ages 12 and under. Entry fee includes a cotton t-shirt, goody bag, and finisher's medal. The kids fun runs are not timed or scored and finish rankings are not kept. Race day is Sunday, October 17, 2021.
5K Virtual
Virtual 5K. Run or walk 3.1 miles anytime between 10/14/21 and 10/31/21. You may submit your results once you have completed your run or walk. There are no awards for the virtual 5K. Entry fee includes a bib number, microfiber t-shirt and finisher medal. Participants in the virtual 5K can choose to pick up their packets on 10/16/21 from 10am-6pm at Fleet Feet-Elk Grove or have their packet mailed for an additional $10.00.
10K Virtual
Virtual 10K. Run or walk 6.2 miles anytime between 10/14/21 and 10/31/21. You may submit your results once you have completed your run or walk. There are no awards for the virtual 10K. Entry fee includes a bib number, microfiber t-shirt and finisher medal. Participants in the virtual 10K can choose to pick up their packets on 10/16/21 from 10am-6pm at Fleet Feet-Elk Grove or have their packet mailed for an additional $10.00.
