Celebrate Ryan’s Run/Walk on Saturday, August 29th, 2026

  Saturday, August 29, 2026 @ 8 AM   EVENT DETAILS    We're thrilled to invite you to the Annual Ryan’s Run/Walk on Saturday, August 29th.  Ryan's Run is dedicated to raising funds and awareness for individuals living with Sickle Cell disease.  This event is not just about running; it’s about coming together as a community to support a vital cause and make a real difference in the lives of those affected by this challenging condition.   The race will begin at 8 a.m. and registration opens at 6:30 a.m. Walkers are not timed.   Registration Fees:   Runners & Walkers - 1 Mile  (walker and runners will pay the same price but we still will only time the runners.) Ages 1-14  -  Now thru June 28th  -     $25                        June 29th - Aug. 3rd -     $30                        Aug. 4th  -  Aug. 29th -    $35    Ages 15+   -  Now thru June 28th  -     $30                       June 29th - Aug. 3rd -      $35                       Aug. 4th  -  Aug. 29th -     $40  Runners & Walkers  - 5K (walker and runners will pay the same price but we still will only time the runners.)   Non-Participating  (Unable to attend but would like to donate click here.)   Race Routes: 5K Route:  4th St. North to Spanish Town, East to 5th St., North to Capitol Access, East to Capitol Lake, West to 3rd St., North to River Road, U-turn South to Spanish Town, East to to 4th St., South to North Blvd. 1 Mile Route:  North on 4th St. to Spanish Town, U-turn South on 4th St. to North Blvd. Packet Pickup (Location, Date & Time): Participants will be able to pick up race packages on Friday, August 28, 2026.  More details to come. Race packets not picked up on Friday will be available at the registration table on race day starting at 6:30 a.m. Registration will be available on race day. Please bring cash or checks made out to the Sickle Cell Association of South Louisiana.  Race Route is the same. Age Groups and Awards:    Ryan's 5K Runners Breakdown of age groups for the 5K:              1-14          30-39       60-69               15-19        40-49       70+              20-29        50-59      Awards:   TOP OVERALL - Male & Female                  TOP MALES & FEMALES - By Age Group   Special Awards & Fundraising Recognition:   TOP FUNDRAISING TEAM - Team that raises the most money.            Categories:  Top Family(1st, 2nd, and 3rd), Business, Organization & School TOP FUNDRAISING INDIVIDUAL - Person who raises the most money. ONE FOR THE TEAM - Top Team with the most participants registered.
