Sandwich Fair Shake Up Shuffle
About this race
Following a sold out second event, the Sandwich Fair Association is thrilled to announce the Third Annual Shake Up Shuffle, happening on Labor Day, September 7, 2026.
Designed with the entire family in mind, the Shake Up Shuffle will once again host two race distances, with special child pricing available on both routes.
Both routes begin on our infield track, wind through our iconic grounds, and finish back on the infield for a post race celebration, where the fun continues with music, games, and appearances from local businesses.
Following the race, registered participants receive top finisher awards, complimentary refreshments, and an ICE COLD Lemonade Shake Up from McKinney's Concessions.
All participants also receive a Shake Up Shuffle shirt, a timed race bib with finishers results, and a collectable Shake Up Shuffle Finishers Medal with registration.
Finally, participants registered for our full race route will additionally receive a FIVE DAY SANDWICH FAIR SEASON PASS.
And the fun doesn’t stop there.
The first two hundred registered participants, ages six and older, will once again receive our crowd favorite Shake Up Shuffle Swag Bag.
PLUS, runners who register for the full route will receive discounted pricing through May 2, 2026, at 10:00 AM CST.
Whether you run it, walk it, shake it, or shuffle it, we just can't wait to see you there.

Proceeds support DeKalb County nonprofit organizations through Shake Up Shuffle grant funding which is awarded and distributed by the DeKalb County Community Foundation.

Our full Shake Up Shuffle 5K course through The Sandwich Fairgrounds. All Shake Up Shuffle participants will receive a custom, inaugural Shake Up Shuffle shirt, a timed race bib and finishers results, course water, a collectable Sandwich Fair Shake Up Shuffle finishers medal, post race snacks and bottled water, a post race lemonade shake up, and opportunities to win additional prizes. Big Squeeze (5K Run/Walk) registrations additionally receive a race day swag bag* and A FIVE DAY SANDWICH FAIR SEASON PASS. Packet pickup begins at 7:30 AM in Monday, September 2nd, 2024 on the infield. Big Squeeze 5K Run/Walk and Pip Squeeze 5K Run/Walk begin at 9:00 AM. 1 Mile Run Walk
Our partial 5K course, totaling one mile through the Sandwich Fairgrounds. Ideal for individuals, families, or groups. All Shake Up Shuffle participants will receive a custom, inaugural Shake Up Shuffle shirt, a timed race bib and finishers results, course water, a collectable Sandwich Fair Shake Up Shuffle finishers medal, post race snacks and bottled water, a post race lemonade shake up, and opportunities to win additional prizes.
