More than a race, Race Weekend is a four-day celebration that brings together runners, volunteers, sponsors, and supporters from around the globe. From Taste of the Race, the official kickoff celebration for Race Weekend, and the Community Race Expo to Race Day excitement and post-race celebrations, the weekend delivers the perfect blend of fitness, fun, and community impact.
Proceeds from the annual fundraiser benefit the SEASIDE SCHOOL FOUNDATION™, supporting innovative educational opportunities for students at SEASIDE SCHOOL™ that extend beyond what is typically available in public education.
Founded in 1996, SEASIDE SCHOOL™ is one of Florida's oldest operating public charter schools and includes SEASIDE NEIGHBORHOOD SCHOOL™ in Seaside, Florida, and Seacoast Collegiate High School located at the Northwest Florida State College South Walton Center. Serving more than 600 students in grades 5 through 12, SEASIDE SCHOOL™ consistently ranks among the top public schools in Florida and remains committed to providing exceptional educational experiences that prepare students for success in college, career, and life.

It's a fantastic Taste of the Race VIP Reception with Chef Emeril Lagasse, Taste of the Race General Admission with Chef Emeril Lagasse (under 21 years old), Taste of the Race General Admission with Chef Emeril Lagasse (21 years old and above), Half-Marathon, 5K featuring a flat and fast course in Seaside.

Taste of the Race VIP Reception with Chef Emeril Lagasse
VIP Reception with Chef Emeril Lagasse, Chef Jim Shirley, and Chef Jim Richard. Space is limited. All VIP guests will have a special opportunity to take a photo with Chef Emeril Lagasse and will also receive a special gift from Chef Emeril Lagasse. Enjoy hors d'oeuvres and beverages. Following the VIP reception, VIP guests will be provided entrance into the general admission event. Race registration packet pickup will be available. Tickets are NON-REFUNDABLE.
Taste of the Race General Admission with Chef Emeril Lagasse (under 21 years old)
The 3rd Annual Taste of the Race Presented by Chef Emeril Lagasse and Visit South Walton will be held on Friday, March 3, 2017, Seaside, Florida (Lyceum)! Enjoy cuisine from two of Emeril’s famous restaurants along with some of the Gulf Coast’s top chefs and restaurants such as Great Southern Café, The Bay, Stinky’s Fish Camp, Bud & Alley’s, and more while listening to live music! The outdoor evening festivities will be held rain or shine in a heated tent, under the big top! Space is limited. Race registration packet pickup will be available. Event details are subject to change. Tickets are NON-REFUNDABLE.
Taste of the Race General Admission with Chef Emeril Lagasse (21 years old and above)

Seaside School Half Marathon
On March 5, 2017, Vera Bradley presents the 15th Annual SEASIDE SCHOOL HALF MARATHON & 5K RUN in South Walton. An out-and-back, fast and mostly flat course where you’ll run past quaint beach towns, dune lakes, and the most beautiful beaches. All finishers receive a Vera Bradley bag! Half marathoners receive custom finisher’s medallion, and both races give moisture-wicking technical shirts. Celebrate at the post-race party and enjoy live music. 13.1M USATF Cert #FL03010DL. Half Marathon Start 7:00 a.m. Seaside Post Office, Hwy 30-A. We welcome walkers for both of the races. The time limit for getting an official time for the Half Marathon is 3 hours and 15 minutes, but walkers can complete the race on the adjacent bike trail after that time. There is no time limit on the 5K Race. The Half Marathon course will be re-opened to traffic at approximately 10:30 a.m. In preparation for the road opening, at approximately 10:10, all remaining runners/walkers will be able to continue the race on the off-road, paved bike path, which is located on the side of Hwy. 30-A. There will not be any support for the runners or walkers along the race course after 10:30 a.m. Race timing will continue for all runners and walkers until 10:30 a.m. All proceeds benefit the Seaside School Foundation.
