SPEAR 10K Trail Race
It's the inaugural running of the SPEAR 10K on the bike paths in Sherando Park! We are very excited to offer you the chance to utilize the beautiful trail system that will make you work but allow you to fly! Not guaranteed a shirt after 6/15/24. Proceeds from this race will be going to our local Area 13 Special Olympics.
SPEAR 25K Trail Race
The inaugural running of the SPEAR 25K on the bike paths of Sherando Park! If you tried the 8 hour event in 2023 or the 10K in July of 2024 you'll know these trails offer a trail experience close to home. What these trails lack in elevation they make up for in ups and downs all along the way. But don't let that description fool you, fast times on a trail can be had on this course. Not guaranteed a shirt after 7/13/24. Proceeds from this race will be going to our local Area 13 Special Olympics.
SPEAR 8 Hour Challenge
Test your limits and attempt to run as many loops as possible on the Sherando bike trails. The trail system comprises of fairly smooth single track trails that will carry you over little ups and downs but allow you to fly as well. New to this year we will have the start/finish line on the Warrior Drive section of the park. This will cut down the course just a little but will offer more shade and green areas to be in. Plus, the parking lot is right there so you will be able to have access to your vehicle for any crew you might have. Bathrooms are also a stones throw away. Not guaranteed a shirt after 8/25/24 Proceeds from this race will again go towards the Katie Teets Bradshaw Comfort House, Inc.
