Smile-A-Mile (Sam) 5K
About this race
The Smile-A-Mile (SAM) 5K helps raise funds to support our mission. The SAM 5K will start and finish at SAM Place in downtown Birmingham with post-race activities and awards. For those who are unable or do not wish to attend in-person, we have a virtual option so you can run, walk wherever you prefer or sleep-in while still supporting Smile-A-Mile!
Smile-A-Mile started 41 years ago with just a single summer camp session for children in Alabama with cancer. Over the years, we have expanded to provide year-round programming that serves children and their families from diagnosis and through the years beyond treatment. Help us continue supporting these families across Alabama!
Join fellow runners on September 8, 2018 for the Smile-A-Mile (Sam) 5K. It's a fantastic 5K, Monkey C Monkey Sleep, 1.6K featuring a flat and fast course in Birmingham.

Monkey C Monkey Run 5k-Individual
All funds raised directly support Smile-A-Mile's year-round programs for families in Alabama affected by childhood cancer. Registration is also available on race day. Thank you for your participation!
Monkey C Monkey Run 5k-Team
Each team must have at least five participants to qualify for team awards.
Monkey C Monkey Sleep
You can still support Smile-A-Mile & receive a race t-shirt even if you are unable to attend the run! *T-shirts will NOT be mailed. You (or someone on your behalf) must pick them up during packet pickup at Smile-A-Mile Place or on race day.
1 Mile Fun Run/Walk
Only runners 14 years old and younger are eligible for Fun Run prizes.
