Thanksgiving Wattle
About this race
The 2026 Wattle will cater to a diverse range of participants, offering a variety of activities for all abilities. This will be our 15th consecutive Wattle, and we are excited to offer a Primrose Children's Run, Turkey Leg 100-meter Run, and a 5K Walk/Run. All of this is set for November 26, 2026.
Participants in the Turkey Leg 100-meter Run, and 5k Run/Walk will receive a Pumpkin Pie at the Finish. Long-sleeve shirts will also be given out at our early packet pick-up. We will have music on the course, at the finish line, and offer finish-line refreshments. There will be no water station on the course.

Finisher Medals are included for all finishers in all events!
SAFETY
To be an event that is valued and available to the broadest family audience, we will have athletes of all abilities, some with visible and invisible disabilities, accommodated at our event. We would like to ask for your understanding and support, as this is a key driver as to why we are not allowing pets to participate. Wattle 5K Run/Walk
Our 5K features a traversing "hometown-feel" 5K course on the Buckeye Parkway, including long-sleeved shirts, chip timing, photographs, live on-course music, finish line refreshments, free post-race photos, and pumpkin pies for all 5K finishers. IF YOU CHOOSE A SHIPPING OPTION, PLEASE Register by November 5, 2026, to ensure we ship to you on time for your receipt by Thanksgiving morning. Feel good about participating in an event where you can join family and friends, knowing that significant proceeds will go to The Grove City Food Pantry. Your donation can help the Grove City Food Pantry buy needed foods from the Mid-Ohio Food Bank with much purchasing power. The GC Food Pantry is the local pantry located on-site at the Church with the Purple Doors. It is a 501c3 charity, and it is 100% staffed by volunteers. They help thousands of families each year by providing basic food and supplies for those who qualify.
Turkey Leg 100 meters
100 Yard Event for athletes with developmental or physical challenges. Please contact the Race Director at thanksgivingwattle@gmail.com if your athlete needs volunteer support or accommodations.
Primrose School Children's Run
This event is designed for Ages 2-8 years old. There will be two heats. Heat 1: 2-5 years old, 100 yard, West of Finish Line Heat 2: 6-8 years old, 200 yard, Start is at Finish Line, head West and do an up and back to the Finish line.
