1-Mile Fun Run

The 1 mile Fun Run is an out and back run starting at the common start/finish line for the 8K and 5K. It is near the zero mile marker on Virginia Capital Trail. This is not a timed race and no awards are given to the participants. This event is designed to encourage our youth and older citizens to stay active and provide an opportunity for them to support our fight against Ovarian Cancer.

8K Run/Walk

This is an 8k Run/Walk and it is a Colonial Road Runners Grand Prix race, The run starts and finishes near the zero mile marker on the Virginia Capital Trail. Awards are given to the top three male and female overall finishers and to the top three male and female finishers in age groups 19 and under and five year increments from 20-24 thru 75 and over. All participants receive a custom printed wicking t-shirt ( must be registered by 9/7/25), entry into the post race party and for those 21 and over a complimentary beer.

Sign up and run the race virtually. If you chose to run virtually, you can run any 8K course at your convenience. You cannot use another race. You must send us your finish time by September 13th and we will send you a race T-Shirt. You will not be eligible for any race awards. By participating you will improve your aerobic conditioning and provide valuable support in the fight against Ovarian Cancer. For more information contact the Race Director.

8K Competitive Walk

This is a competitive walk and it is a Colonial Road Runners Grand Prix race. Participants must only walk this course. No running allowed. The top three men and women will will earn an award medal.
