Spreading Love w/ the Bridge of Light Dignity Bus

*Updated Time & Location* Project Time: Sunday, October 5 from 10AM to 12PM. Location: 55 Park Pl NE, Atlanta, GA 30303 at 10 AM. There is minimal free street parking. Additionally, there are two decks nearby on Auburn for about $5-7. Please dress for the weather, wear comfortable shoes, and leave ALL valuables at home. Do not leave any valuables or suitcases visible in your cars. Project Description: We will be running our shower bus and laundry bus. This involves pulling sizes of new clothing, managing shower list, managing laundry list, washing and drying clothing, passing out dignity kits, creating dignity (hygiene) kits, and making coffee for individuals experiencing homelessness.

Supporting Kids w/ Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta

Location: Big Brothers Big Sisters of Metro Atlanta @ 680 Murphy Ave SW, Suite 1090, Atlanta, GA 30310 (enter The Met complex off Murphy Avenue SW, across the tracks from the West End MARTA Station) Project Description: Volunteers will be working in community to assemble gift bags for our child mentees (“Littles”) and their adult mentors (“Bigs”) that will later be gifted at our annual fall picnic. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes. All necessary materials will be provided for the activity. Light refreshment will be available. ABOUT BBBSMA: Founded in 1960, Big Brothers Big Sister of Metro Atlanta creates and supports one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth. Ready to build the biggest possible future, we work with volunteers, parents, families, schools, and communities to defend the potential of young people throughout Metro Atlanta.
